I've seen the 60s have been back running commercial freight services recently. Are there plans for Europhenix to run any in the north east eventually?

I very much doubt you'll get a factual answer to that yet, if Colas or GBRf are running services on their behalf currently then long term the answer could well be yes

60063 worked 0614 6Z60 Bradwell Up Sidings to Basford Hall Yard and 1152 6K61 return

60074 is reported as being in EPR livery, like 60063.

Indeed it is, one noticeable change is the fitting of an updated headlight cluster where 60063 retains the originals

60s currently at Rectory Junction for fettling are 001, 007, 010, 011, 024, 062, 066, 074 & 100

Amazing to hear this news, now 60074 has now carried six different liveries/brandings in its life

Triple grey 1991 - 2005
Triple grey with EWS beasties 2005 - 2009
Teenage Cancer Trust blue 2009 - 2014
DB Red 2014 - 2020
Puma Energy grey 2020 - 2026
Europhoenix 2026 -

Interesting a RAIL article was just published regarding the EPX 60s, and it states which ones are expected to return:
EPR says these locomotives should be amongst the first to be reactivated, with some or all of 60007/010/011/015/017/ 019/020/039/040/044/054/059/ 065/079/091/092 likely to be collected in batches over the coming weeks.

It is unlikely that EPR will be able to move the other 16 ‘good’ Class 60s to Colwick due to space constraints.

Thanks @SEtrains

In relation to this if anyone is a WNXX subscriber there is an extensive piece on the News page today covering the company as a whole, a listing of the entire Class 60 fleet and a few photos
Very interesting article. I didn’t know Toton Yard had been acquired, is this news and who by?

I did read something about this a while back although there was nothing to say if it was fact or fiction, the gist of it was that the owners of EPR were after the Toton 'New Bank' site where the 'scrap' 60s are stored

that would certainly be interesting, and explain why all the 60s are getting cleared out

I don’t understand what you mean. There hasn’t been any report thus far of movement of the ’demic’ 60s sat in New Bank sidings.

Only two of the ‘scrap’ 60s aren’t in the sidings, 60071 in the compound with GBRF parts donor 60004 and 60500 which is in the main yard next to the ex Super 60s

I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that they intend on moving all the 60s out eventually once the Europhoneix ones are gone, cannot remember where from but I feel like I’ve heard that around somewhere, that they may get moved to the likes of brush works and Leicester.

60062 is reported to have joined 60063 & 60074 in EPR livery

Uncorroborated suggestion that the next batch for transfer to Rectory Junction are 017, 059 & 065

If they are going to take land at Toton New Bank then it seems pointless going to the expense of moving any of the demics anywhere, they could be stripped of useful spares and scrapped where they stand just as the 47s were at Old Oak in the late 90s, the thing that needs to be settled is where the 20 or so working locos are to be based when they're all in service
