ScotRail have a few fleets that have been around for a long time. Could we perhaps see a 318 reappear in Strathclyde orange and black?

Being cynical this would of course involve removing the flag, which may well upset some people.
318 in Strathclyde would certainly be good to see.

Maybe, but it would only be one train! I never liked the scotrail livery anyway. A HST in Blue and Grey with scotrail branding like the Glasgow-Edinburgh push-pull sets would be nice to see as well.

A 156 or 158 in Regional Railways would be awesome! I doubt they would do a 153 with the Highland Explorer livery applied to them.

This is something I would really like to see, as I grew up with both Orange/Black & Carmine Cream liveries and it would be a nice change. Interesting to note that both liveries lasted 23 years (1983-2006 and 1996-2019 respectively) and it was a 314 that was the last unit to carry both liveries on the national network (the same one was involved both times actually: 314202 alongside 205 for the farewell tour).
Hypothetically, when a 318 (or 320/3) goes in for it's final major overhaul, it could perhaps involve a repaint back into Orange/Black, either with the Strathclyde Regional Transport logo/BR Double Arrow or the later ScotRail 'swoosh' logo (I of course grew up with the latter, so I'd wanna see that iteration).
I was more thinking that such a repaint would be lambasted by some - regardless of it being true or not - as being a waste of taxpayer's money.
I personally would include the flag as part of a small modern 'ScotRail - Scotland's Railway' logo somewhere on the bodyside (say, under the cab windows), much like LSL did when repainting 47712 back into ScotRail colours.
