Just a note to make people aware of an App that is available on the Apple Store and also on Google play.

The main features are full live maps of all of London Underground lines as well as a full Timetable for the Metropoltan line together with stopping patterns of the Met trains.

You can also view train running numbers with their trips as well as leading car numbers.

The new Piccadilly line stock is also shown.

Can I ask if you are Lewis Day as I have a few trivial observations?
I have tested it extensively on the Met for the last 2 days and it is really well put together

Sadly, it does not work at all well if you have a large font set on your iPhone
Agree, it's very messed up with zoom or large fonts. For a new web service to not build in and design for accessibility is poor IMO.

Hello everyone!

I'm glad you are all liking the app!

Just a short intro. I am Lewis, the creator of Trackser.

It has been around for a long time but aimed at staff (drivers) to find their trains. It's only recently where I've switched to a backend server and using a different API from TfL, the TrackerNet feeds, which give more data but are harder to work with and fetch (I need to fetch multiple stations across each line to find all trains running, every 30 seconds). Initially the app was doing all of the fetching and processing on the phone itself so it wasn't until this new backend that I could switch feeds and do a lot more with the data (including showing the Leading Car Numbers)! There is a lot more to come but I am just one person (with the help of AI) who has a full time job and doing this is all for a bit of fun.

For now I am biased towards the Metropolitan line (I won't explain why, you can probably guess) hence why it has received most of the love. I intend to get timetable data for all lines soon. On my list is accessibility (see below), themes, new prettier maps, better access to the data that is there including historical data, smart train service analysis and much more but please be patient!

Wow! Thank you very much for the plug!

I can't receive DMs yet (I believe!) but post them here or send them on the website contact form and I'll try and answer!
Lewis Day is @Lrd
That is my old, long disused account.

Yes! Apologies for this, it really wasn't good. I was far too excited to finally release the version using the new TrackerNet data and all the maps drawn. I am just about to press release on the website version that improves a lot of stuff so it should be at least somewhat usable. But it is still far from perfect, accessibility is the top of my list. Please let me know any failings and I will do my best to address them. The website needs a complete change but it is a big project and I am pushed for time. Again, I am sorry for this.

I will keep an eye on this thread so send anything, good or bad, my way and I will address them as best as I can.

Thanks so much everyone :)

It would be nice to be able to reorder the favourite lines list. I accidentally unfavourited the Met, now it's moved to the bottom! Apart from unfavouriting all the other lines I can't see any other way of getting it back to the top.

An excellent site and also having the Met as my premier line I find the information at the northern end of the line very useful. I wonder if some of the colour combinations could be better for example the tram numbers are almost invisible is bright light conditions.
