Why did they stop alternating locos out the sidings, surely it’s more hassle now. Take off the front loco and then go and run round the back loco to the front

Can anyone tell me what this 93 was please ?
I thought I saw a 93 light engine go South through Crewe Station on Tuesday 22/09/2026 at 20:42 platform 5 (or adjacent up fast ?). I was too slow but seemed to be a 93 as it disappeared into the murk - I worked out it might be 0N42 but that could be a red herring knowing how my eyes were yesterday !.

Thank you! I don’t have a good picture of 653 on the Portbury branch so might have to go down for 6Z57.

Does anyone know which 2 locos where hauling the nuclear flask train on the Berwick upon tweed to Edinburgh line on Wednesday 24th June 2026 between 9 am and 10:20 am? What class, and what number, example, lets say it was a class 68, which one? 68002, 68003, 68004? which number, and same for the other because it was top and tailed. The only information I have is that it looked like 2 class 68s/88s and they were DRS coming from Edinburgh Waverly. Thanks!

That reminds me. I thought I saw a Royal 67 light loco heading South on the WCML on Tuesday sometime before 13:05. I cannot remember exactly where but would have been North of Wolverton I think but definitely before I arrived at Crewe at 13:05. I remember thinking collecting Royal Tran from Wolverton maybe. I forgot all about it but could be connected with your sighting, so maybe of help.
