Elloughton are currently having a bad time. The amount of time the EastRiders 794 to 797 have spent off the road recently. Very unreliable they must be. Currently have three of the ex Go North East hybrids on loan. 20820, 20822 and 20825 currently tracking as Ello Spare.

Volvo B7RLE Plaxton Centro 20362 has transferred from Hull to Fourways. E200 21028 has transferred from Procters to Fourways. Volvo B5TL MCV EvoSeti 20793 has been repainted into the revised EY livery.

I was in Northallerton this morning and I was impressed that timetable posters at stops served by Procters have been updated to have North Riding branding. The posters also contain timetable information for Hodgsons & North Yorkshire Council services. Timetables at bus stops not served by Procters still have North Yorkshire Council timetable posters.
I assume these were fitted following timetable changes earlier month for Procters 53/73 and they weren't there when I was in Northallerton in June, it was a North Yorkshire Council timetable poster. Now they just need the buses that operate the services to have North Riding branding!
ALT: Timetable poster at Zetland Street bus stop in Northallerton containing a North Riding timetable poster for Procters 53 as well as timetable information for Hodgsons 54, 80 & 89 and North Yorkshire Council 153 & 74C. Features "Its better by bus" branding.

Yeah, these have just gone up this month. Nice to see some effort put in, but bizarre that it still has the Procters logo next to the 53, not sure ‘North Riding‘ will mean anything to anyone in Northallerton, and the web address for East Yorkshire confuses things further. That particular stop is largely used by people waiting for the Stokesley service, seems a bit selfish for whatever Go Ahead’s operation in Leeming Bar are calling themselves this week to take it over for two journeys a day that no one would take because you can walk to the terminus quicker!
This morning, the 73 had the EYMS liveried decker and a GWY Evora on it. We just need Scarborough Locals for the full set

A quick guess is that its "North Riding by Procters" as its a similar style of branding on the printed 182 timetable leaflets that have North Riding branding and then Procters in the corner.
There's no real point linking to the Procters website when the timetables on their site just take you to East Yorkshire's website.
The reality is, most people in Northallerton likely think their bus is operated by Dales & District! Not Procters, North Riding, East Yorkshire, etc.
I was waiting at Zetland Street for the Stokesley bus in fact! Considering the 53 is just two journeys a day, perhaps a North Yorkshire Council timetable poster (like at stops not served by Procters) showing the 53 as operated by North Riding would be more appropriate. Its different to the other stops in Northallerton with this branding that will be most frequently served by the 73.
There are similar format ones in Beverley, they've been there for several months and feature EY services plus Stagecoach and HART. That said, when I travelled earlier in the week they hadn't been updated for the timetable changes earlier this month. Ironically the timetables in Beverley Bus Station are even more out of date than that and don't even list all the routes that serve it!
As a format I like it....it just needs to be up to date.
As an aside I've seen Gemini 1's this week with next stop displays now fitted, so looks like the 07/08 plates still have life in them!
348 is having rear wheel bearings done and will be out on the road, 698 and 996 are being used for schools only currently, 907 and 908 are awaiting a few bits and will also be available.
On another note I’ve been moving 793 about today and it’s nearly done.

I've seen pictures of the latter, finally a 2025 paint bus thats not a B5LH that has the "your buses in the palm of your hand" thing at the back (the EVs don't have it, and i dont think 20388 got it, 20764 defo didn't for whatever reason, and 20919 has that "tired of looking at my rear?" decal.
Glad to also see the entire bus repainted instead of just a touch up that 20919 got (still has its biege at the bottom of the front)!
Funnily enough in Helmsley, the Transdev 31X timetable has some errors. All EY journeys are correct but on Saturdays Transdev journeys into York are shown as the Kirkbymoorside times. The Saturday times to Kirkbymoorside are correct. Weekday timetables are correct in both directions. EY has a separate timetable poster for the 28 and their 31X journeys (not including Transdev 31X journeys). The Moorsbus poster in Helmsley doesn't show the 17:19 EY 31X to Kirkbymoorside on Saturdays but shows all other 31X journeys in each direction.
Also noticed that 20392 didn't have Moorsbus logos in the front and rear windows on the M4 yesterday, like all other buses on Moorsbus do. It did still have the information box with timetables, survey forms, etc.

Oh and what a surprise from this shambles of a division, Bus open data hasn't been updated either to reflect this update (or indeed ANY of the August changes made to Go Ahead West Yorkshire or Dales and District operations) ...... Oh how I live for the day that operators start taking the law seriously and incompetent staff start getting sacked for their lack of care for the law.
Procters have now updated the data for the 53/73 & RS4 timetables, as have Fourways for the 212.
The bigger issues at EY regarding timetables are as follows:
-The 31X Saturday timetable, takes 11 minutes between Shipton & Skelton when it takes 3 minutes in reality.
- The 81 apparently doesn't serve Bulmer on eastbound weekday journeys, but does on Saturdays. Westbound journeys don't have these issues. The X81 also doesn't serve Bulmer but runs through the village.
- The 17:40 X47 from York on a Saturday is the only X47 to stop at Waggon & Horses and is timetabled to serve Barmby Moor and Pocklington Industrial Estate. It runs via Barmby Moor like all other X47s (and X45s) as the X46 runs via Pocklington Industrial Estate.
- The 19:35 weekday 747 is timetabled to serve Osbaldwick Link Road but actually remains on Hull Road as it doesn't serve Murton. Same goes with the 19:35 & 22:45 on Saturdays and 22:45 on Fridays.
These are just data errors I've noticed when travelling with EY.
The X and M letters on the destination selectors make sense as do the Y... But what are the other letters for? Ive seen them scrolling round for months now

Without any context, I'm just guessing, but Goole locals have a G prefix, and lots of school contract routes have a letter in as well (eg 1W, 2W etc are routes for Woldgate School, L28 runs to Lady Lumley's, H* to Hessle High, *S are all Scarborough area contracts).

There's quite a few data issues. There's some on the 747 which have been being reported for over a year but EY ignore them (hence previous comments about their data).

The 31X errors on the Saturday timetable have also been reported to EY for a while now, its been a problem since September 2025 I believe.
The 81 was a symptom of a road closure a few months ago that meant the service was diverting away from Bulmer. Instead of putting out a service update, EY removed it from the timetable and its not completely returned for some reason despite the 81 returning to the Bulmer route roughly 2 months ago.
Also noticed in Pickering that Moorsbus timetable posters don't show the 20:20 28 to Scarborough on a Saturday.
On a positive note, the 822 had no issues yesterday. It was operated by EvoSeti 20813 and completed all of its trips throughout the day despite extra traffic in Pateley Bridge for the Nidderdale Show and Grassington for the 1940's weekend. Transdev used a double decker on the 24 to cater for extra demand to/from Pateley Bridge for the Nidderdale Show and a double decker on the 72 for extra demand to/from Grassington for the 1940's weekend.
Lets hope that they make sure they work right - 97 thought it was in Guisborough when it was, in fact, sat in Bay C in Beverley Sow Hill... It has also picked up the odd quirk blanking out the NSA display or the audio message repeating Pickering
Spare Ello ticket machine is out again today
20825 was tracking correctly yesterday. But Spare Ello was on 929 and will be Goole Spare then HW5 later. If anyone knows which bus it is if you can let me know. MTIA
