Could 158s keep time, they are limited to 90mph, and their acceleration rate is pretty gutless over about 80mph

I'm not sure it ever was tightened to be fair, like you say, it was mostly 150's previously.

When I've travelled from Taunton to Newport on the GWR services (short HSTs then IETs), they've usually laid over at Temple Meads for 10 - 15 minutes. RTT suggests that that's normal off-peak, though there are shorter stops in the peak. Shortening that stop might produce conflicts elsewhere, but it does imply that they're not tightly timed.

A 150 turned out for a round trip from Exeter to Cardiff and return last year. It kept to time well enough. A 158 or 166 would have no trouble.

Back to the actual subject, did 003 manage it's whole diagram yesterday? Hearing rumblings that a big part of the issues are partly down to poor record keeping during their previous maintenance regime on top of everything else.

Is this a suggestion of poor record keeping over the years by ATW/TfW, Alstom/CAF and what type of poor record keeping is being mooted ?

113+011 running round today. No passenger trains for two days.

175003 is on a passenger diagram isn't it. Or is the allocation incorrect?

3C01 0530 Laira to Liskeard
2P01 0644 Liskeard to Plymouth
3C05 0730 Plymouth to Liskeard
2P05 0808 Liskeard to Plymouth
2C11 1014 Plymouth to Penzance
2P16 1314 Penzance to Plymouth
2C33 1700 Plymouth to Liskeard
2P22 1756 Liskeard to Plymouth
5P22 1834 Plymouth to Laira

Your right. Not a diagram I would have thought it would be on. Checked yesterday and the diagram was cancelled. 003 is the most reliable unit.

I believe that diagram has been changed to a 175 for the forseeable as part of GWR's recovery plan.
Originally meant to be a 175 anyway, it's been STP'd to a 150 for most of the year

175003 has now been shoved across to replace 150266 on 2C32
It's now booked to work the rest of the diagram.

The 175 diagrams are changing constantly at the moment and we are having to juggle resources wherever possible.

The latest diagram for 175 coverage is as follows:

3C01, 2P01, 3C05, 2P05, 2C11, 2P16, 2C33, 2P22.

The diagram which includes 2C05, 2E11, 2C32 and 2E28 is currently STP'd as a 150 diagram.

We also have an IET covering certain services aswell!

Had a spare 175 today, so 175113 is making its passenger debut with GWR on 2C05 and subsequent services today!

Am I in the right reality? Did I really just read the words "spare 175" and "[a 175] saved the day"?!
Don't know about the spare; but they have got 16 in various stages of worthiness. 003 stepped in for a 150 yesterday on a key diagram because of the connection at Bristol.

113 now running over 20L on 2E11. Looks like it was stopped in Camborne for 24 minutes.

175003 unironically coming to the rescue of a 150

Running empty to Par to take over one of the Newquay diagrams

And it is now no longer doing that.
