What does this Adessia order tell us about NPR? Do these trains have an obvious secondary home to go to outside of TransPennine?
These are 110mph units so DfT must have made a conscious decision not to specify them as NPR ready (140mph sections). If these are to live their entire lives on TransPennine, are we to take that there'll be no realistic prospects of NPR this side of 2060?
