150224/75 have worked 1N23 Sheffield-Leeds tonight, then 5C73 to NL. As they are the last 2 NL 150/2's to move to NH, then tomorrow??
Excluding 150222, still at Wolverton.

Any nominations for the poor 150/1 units to be sent on missionary work to Yorkshire??

No, but 156420 has managed almost three consecutive days in service this week, before collapsing at Darwen tonight around 7pm. It is now paired up with 150107, presumably on the "three engine" principle, to get it through the rest of the diagram and back to its care home at NH! That's after almost a month being battered at NH, and three main line test runs!

When I used it earlier both engines on 156420 were running, however it was locked out of passenger service (looking through the window it was evidently in need of someone to go though with a bin bag the amount of cans left on the tables)

Good list, but not quite right.
Porterbrook units completed are 156401, 156420, 156452, 156466.

Although 402, 409, 412, 416 - 419 & 422 had a C6 "lite" and corrosion works back in 21/22 they are still part of the current program (at the very back of the plans) so technically haven't been through.

This is all down to the fuel monitoring system that's been fitted to this unit. A different type of silencer has been fitted than normal and it's this that makes that noise when the engine is revving up.

The unit was going to be repaired at depot, but when they cut back the damage there is quite extensive corrosion behind which is far beyond the limits of what can be done at depot, so the units going to be lorried into Gemini for C6 & CSO works as the next unit.
Thanks for that @diligentdave, I'll get that updated :)

It was probably locked out of use due to the short platforms on the Clitheroe line.

Northern Class 150 transfer move Sunday 13th September 2026

5Z51 11:09am Newton Heath T.M.D - Neville Hill T.M.D formed of 150119 and 150123

5Z52 13:41pm Neville Hill T.M.D - Newton Heath T.M.D formed of 150224 and 150275

Nearly forgot to post this as I’m in Scotland hunting for my last 3 HST’s that I need for haulage before these incredible workhorses retire and I’m now down to just the one .

Loco for 0S08 tomorrow booked from Derby RTC-Kilmarnock, with a 5Q36 booked back to AN conveying 769448 later tomorrow. That would complete the full house other than 769434 (Burscough) needs a repair and 'may' have been taken by 769450 today from SP to AN.

Are NL due any further 150/1s as i work out 18 have come across yet there were 25 150/2s.
There were actually 24 150/2's (225 was always NH), currently 23 have come across, with 150222 still in Wolverton so would expect 1 more 150/1 to come across when 150222 is released (latest date was 17/10 from Diligent Dave) - but sometimes theses dates slip.
Currently:-
NL-NH 150201/3-6/10/11/14/15/18/20/24/28/68-77
NH-NL 150101/05/14/15/18/19/21-25/27/31/34/35/40/42-46/48/49

150104 was went from NH-NL on 30/8 but went back to NH on 6/9, whilst 150150 went from NH-NL on 24/5 but went back to NH on 26/7, as its apparently being re-vinyled for NH's 150th later this year.

No, but its 141.

Cheers David and cheers 165002, I have seen them a couple of times before I just thought it was unusual to be in the CAF shed. I've not seen any heritage units in there before obviously I'm sure it does often

The unit had been for w wheelset change and subsequent vehicle heights setting. The CAF shed has the only road that is known to be true and level to be able to set these up correctly.

How odd, working Sheffield-Leeds today via Wakefield kirkgate, must have randomly escaped NH somehow.
It seems to have gone to Heaton for exam and went back to Neville Hill instead of Newton Heath. Possibly due to no suitable paths available West due to the TRU work?

It seems to end the day at Sheffield so could potentially work home from there tomorrow.

Thanks for the info - perhaps today is the last time we will see a 150/2 working in Yorkshire (then again, I thought that was the case a few weeks ago )

They'll still sometimes appear on the Sunday only 150/156 Manchester - Sheffield diagram, for the South Yorkshire journey of Dore and Totley - Sheffield.

Looks like 158792 will be taking over 150270's diagram, with 150270 arriving into Sheffield on 2L69 and 158792 heading back to Leeds on 2L22. Presumably 150270 will head back to the North West from Sheffield, though it currently isn't booked on any of the Sheffield to Manchester Piccadilly services. Could end up running ECS or spending the night in Sheffield and returning tomorrow.

270 is going onto 2P39/2P40 and staying in Sheffield for the night.
