Last time I was in Sofia the 'International Train' to Bucharest via Ruse left from here for some reason - not from Sofia Central. I walked the 45-60 mins from my hotel to ensure being on time rather than risk the short train journey from Sofia Central. I've a feeling this is still the case today and I'm not sure why because Sofia Central is still functioning with regular services. There is a track upgrade going on so assume this is the reason for the change.
