Norwich and Cambridge are two different regions, different T's and C's, not fully harmonised but 10k difference for a trainee Depot Driver role, that's a hell of a gap.

That would make more sense, ChoCho666 also said 30k training salary, although I'm not sure if he's for Cambridge or Norwich. I deffo got told only £30k for Norwich.
I bet it’s a typo and it’s 29,118 can’t be 10k difference surely

I’m not sure to be fair, could be the case as others have been told different but often it’s higher as an incentive for this role since most people just want to go straight for the driver role. But with the recent changes I’m not sure if this would still be the case or ever has been with GA. Just going off the knowledge it is the case for other TOCS. Southeastern pay their shunters more during training compared to drivers

Still no one is any further forward here

Salary discrepancies?

Still a lot of us who have been invited for interviews and no email stating the change to process?

Very strange all this….. and the depot for Cambridge from what I have been told doesn’t start until next year so is that when the course is?

Lots of unanswered questions

hello, I received an email today from GA with practice materials for stage 1 but have not received a link/info about a date of when I’ll be taking it? Assuming an email will come sooner or later for a date?

Unusual, I thought you'd get both at the same time. Is there a contact email in your email?

Got an email about booking a date & time whilst telling me they want me to do stage 2 (before even passing stage 1 which I was surprised by) and of course it has only given me 1 available date which I cannot attend at all. The gods trying their best to deny me lol

I received information and material about attending Stage 2 but no link to select a date.....that said, I passed the full OPC a few years ago so should go straight to DMI having passed DFFT and advanced dots but have not heard anything back from when I raised this.

If you've already passed and it's not expired, they will see this on the OPC database, I got invited to do the DFFT as this was the only part I hadn't done.

I passed the enhanced dots and DFFT a few weeks ago and previously passed OPC for Cross Country a few years ago.

With that I dont think I need to redo any of the Stage 2 assessments so should progress straight to DMI.....does that sound about right?

Good luck to those coming up, ive not really researched the GA DMI yet as didnt think I'd get that far!

Hi Mate, for which depot did you had interview and when it was?
Ipswich. About 2 weeks ago. They showed me an email and it had trainee mainline at 30K

Oh that is very very odd! Keep us updated and good luck for your DMI!
Thanks

I think it’s all for depot driver very wrong to have changed it half way through

Not telling people until interview etc

But why interview people for depot driver if they are already depot driver?

Is there mainline drivers needed at all?

Who knows!!

There are both needed I know that l, as you’re already a depot driver and not received the email stating the role change I would assume they’re keeping you on for mainline.. hopefully anyway fingers crossed for you.
