31210 is booked for the Bodmin gala at the end of the month with 33012 perhaps the latter might be collecting it? Maybe this or has the same problems that kept it at Strawberry Hill depot earlier in the season and didn't make the Mid - Hant's.

Yes - 60028 and 50026 are booked to leave Horsted Keynes at 1650, arriving at East Grinstead (Bluebell) at 1715, where it sits until just before departure time from East Grinstead (NR). Presumably this is so the move is inside the hours of Bluebell signalmen, and extra signalmen are not required for an evening/night move.

60028 is due to be running on the Bluebell on Thursday 10th on a private charter service - the reason behind this will hopefully be announced on social media in the coming days.

The path on RTT for the departure of 60028 & 50026 is linked here.

Naming ceremony is currently taking place and visible on the Bluebell webcam. Googled it and dear old AI says its Walter K Whigham so its clearly confused the class 60 with the A4 that was also 60028

60028 was named Knockmealdown / Cnoc Mhaoldomhnaigh in a private ceremony today at Horsted Keynes. Cnoc Mhaoldomhnaigh is the highest mountain in County Waterford, and the engine has been named in memory of the founder of Cappagh, Thomas Ferncombe.

The 60 ran back alone. The 50 must still be on the Bluebell
It was originally booked to run back with 60028, so if it hasn’t it must be moving at a later date. I believe the next stop for 50026 is the Mid Hants.

Had the best time on the Sunday. Easily the best gala I have ever been too and slightly depressed that an absolute NSE fest will never happen again.

The perfect hit of nostalgia for us born in the 1980s.

A huge thank you to everybody involved.

I finally got round to sorting out my (low quality) footage from the Sunday if anybody is interested.

Perhaps you should have googled it in the correct format - 60 028 rather than 60028? ;)

That'll be to collect 50026, which is still on the railway. I don't know for certain but we can reasonably assume that.

Move summary to/from East Grinstead:

A disclaimer that, whilst most info is copied from NR data feeds, I may have made a typo. Also, the expected traction column is effectively me guessing.

I assumed correctly a few weeks ago!

Yes. The 50 Group will be doing test runs (I think Tuesday/Wednesday this week) whilst they’re waiting to move to the Mid Hants.

Last time I checked, it was in the Down Siding at Kingscote. We don’t have any details on a planned move yet.
Thanks, I’ll keep an eye out.
If I wanted to get some photos, is it visible from Kingscote station, I don’t know the station very well. Many thanks

It’s visible from the northern (East Grinstead) end of the up platform, but best viewed from a passing train unless you have a good zoom. You might be able to see it on the Kingscote webcams too.
