WCML seems to be shut from BHM to EUS on this day, so Avanti is out.
I see Chiltern are offering more services and lengthened trains.

I'll be in Brum for the SVR gala that weekend.

Is it possible to figure out which services will be 68 & Mk5a hauled?

Given the requirement for additional capacity due to the WCML block, it's possible the entire serivce will be operated with DMUs.

Including plenty of 165 action (Met line via Amersham closed to free up stock/drivers) which isn't ideal on such a long run but offers maximum capacity

In my mind; adding additional services meant as many trains out as possible so I presumed the Mk5a sets would be out.
I hadn't realised they're moving the DMUs from the Met line services.

Maybe I'll just drive
