Great. Thanks all. I will need to re-write the scene in question but that isn't going to be a massive problem.

Hi all. Me again. Excluding any mobile phones or watches would a driver in 1992 stock on the Central Line have access to the exact time? Would the time be display on the cab controls anywhere? This doesn't matter in the long run as my character can check their mobile phone but, like my points above, it would be a cool detail to have.

Yes. On the dashboard there is a clock above the speedometer.

If you go to London frequently, try to find an excuse to go on the Waterloo & City, and sit at the front or rear door. Once the train arrives at Bank, politely ask the driver about any questions you have of the '92 stock - 75% of drivers will be happy to explain (or even show ;)).

Presumably because it used to be a station. Would the site of British Museum have one for the same reason?
Down Street siding is a single track separate from the disused station platforms, the current disused platforms do not have pits:

Are you familiar with the 1970s film "death line" (known in our household as "mind the doors")? Plot is a young couple get shut in Holborn station after missing the last train. Its not the best film in the universe by a long shot but you could just about justify watching it as research?
