Oh dear, has someone lost their dummy again, and is throwing a paddy, I've got friends who are American, but live here now, and have done for several years, and they say they are just embarrassed now by what their home country has become.

While it's all a bit petty, it is not a unique example of a dispute placenames. The Gulf Of Mexico vs Gulf of America being the other particularly petty one.

But then we have Derry vs Londonderry, the Falkland Islands vs Malvina, the Persian Gulf vs Arabian Gulf, etc.

Egotistical leaders just love trying to assert dominance with this sort of thing, even if it's not to actually claim sovereignty over additional territory.

Maps apps should really be more consistent though. Google Maps has "Derry/Londonderry" as one styling and "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)" as another. I'm not sure if there's a particular reason one uses a slash and the other brackets.

The French don't call it 'The English Channel' ...

Wasn't there an executive order signed early last year to state that the USA's official language was English.

Strange then that the orange one's Florida retreat still has its Spanish name.

Lake Ontario is now Lake America. It's nice to know that he's getting his priorities right.
That one made me chuckle. As the Orange Cockwomble claimed, all it took was a map, a pen and someone with intelligence.

This coming from a person, who in regular interviews, has claimed to be a genius, but cannot spell the word 'genius' correctly.

No problem. He could tell the Secretary of Education that all schools have to teach spelling the same way that he spells.

His next quote will be something along the lines of, "They really love me Iran,, they said i can visit Tehran any time I want",
They say the view of Tehran from a fifth-floor window is quite something.
Education, who needs education, I didn't get any, and I became your first dictator, well they did try, but I'm too stupid DJT.
Alleged he got someone else to do his education for him.

There is somewhere a charity fundraiser clip of Rory Bremner doing an impression of Trump in which he says he's a genius with the line, "Donald J Trump. I'm a genius, that's what the 'J' stands for." Have to see if I can find it...

The view while swinging from a crane hook is said to be something to die for!
Tehran won't do anything, revenge is best when served cold, After the mid-terms, I can see Trump being jettisoned by his enablers, and stripped of power, either by congress, or by 25th amendment, and that will be the most difficult thing for him to accept,

Imaging thinking you're all powerful, to find you're not, and now people are wanting you to be held accountable, your lackies are facing prison, and turning evidence on you, your one-time allies, don't pick up your calls, because you're of no further use to them, nowhere to run, because no one will have you,

IMHO that is very, very unlikely. His only way out will be in a hospital bed or a casket.

Agreed.

Many of them are going to want him to pre pardon them as well.

I do wonder if he’ll have the patience to be a lame duck president though? I could see him doing a deal with Vance that he walks away on the condition that Vance pardons him.

This is trump we're talking about, he won't be going anywhere, votes or no votes. Anything that doesn't go in his favour is "rigged" and he'll ignore. What happens next??
