Starting soon as a train dispatcher / station assistant for WMR,
want to prep myself for the shift work and would like an idea of shift patterns.
As far as I know it averages as a 4 day week with 3-4-5 shifts a week but unsure what it is for this specific TOC.

I only had 1 question
I can’t exactly remember what the words were but it was about a customer service scenario. The main part of it was about conflict resolution.
I focussed on clear communication and remaining calm, working as a team but also independently if required and always keeping safety as a top priority, ie. Maintaining situational awareness/identifying hazards/following protocols etc.

I am a guard for WMT - our pattern is work the same rolling 3 weeks.

Currently I am on long weekend (Friday-Tuesday), then work Wed-Sat, then work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Then work Monday to Thursday before the next long weekend.

There are committed Sundays in the mix (usually the Sunday before long weekend). It may be similar for platform staff!

Not sure if it works the same way for station staff but I do know it works on a 3 week roster basis. It is 35hrs/week but just not aware of shift lengths and there
fore average days per week.

If it’s 35hr week I’m not too sure, guards are 36 hour weeks, it may be similar though.
