Oh I get out of the house plenty of times. I work alongside plenty of women, I study alongside plenty of women and of course there are many women on the trains I travel on, and it's not often I see a woman dress like this in public.

Honestly you need to pay more attention then, as this is a similar manner in which many girls in the 18-24 age group seem to dress. To see my point just pop to any night club on a saturday night

I'm sorry, but when you actually say to me "So you think women should be told what they are allowed to wear?" I am going to get a bit wound up.

Well your comments above suggest you dont think they should, many girls choose to buy outfits like this.Its their choice, leave them to it. Is it affecting your life in anyway how these girls choose to dress...No.

I am not sure where you live, so I cant say about the billboards, but in bus stops in Sheffield you see women in bra and knickers advertising a well known women`s store. Children as young as 10 in high heels short skirts and make up are often seen in Sheffield. That`s much worse than the photo where the two women looked very natural in the photo.

I know you will disagree but we all have the choice to look or not to look and I think it`s a shame its had to be removed for whatever reason.

I certainly don't disagree with freedom of choice. I just don't understand why someone would sexualize themselves. It's that simple.

Did you never see the 'Hello Boys' Wonderbra billboard?
If the company involved forced the women to wear those clothes (and by forced, I mean threatened them that they would lose their jobs if they did not comply), then I would say that yes, that is immoral.
There is plenty of sexualisation of men in this world, look at the Diet Coke TV ads for a start. Or just about any episode of 'Loose Women'! If men were to talk about women on TV, in they way men are discussed on there, it would never get on air.

Right then, now that the picture has been removed, let's get some things off of my chest.

First of all, for all of those who were interested in knowing, that picture was mine. I took that picture!

Secondly, I asked for that photo to be taken down at my request and I should not have had to take things to that extreme but because of two people's, and they know who they are, narrow minded and biased viewpoints, I felt that this was the only way.

The pair of you don't realise that Jordy and all those involved in modding POTW give their time, their effort and their resources to allowing people to put pictures up so that they can have a little bit of fun. People post their pictures and people vote for the picture that they think is the best and they have FUN in doing it

Now these girls, I didn't ask them to pose like that, I sure as hell didn't ask them to dress up like they did and I sure as hell didn't ask them to be "provocative" but the fact of the matter is there were other people there and these girls were encouraging people to take photos of them with Nunney Castle! They worked for WCRC, verified by the fact I saw the same girls at Carlisle on the 6th of August when 45305 brought a train up! Therfore, they meet the criteria of the subject which is railwaymen/railwaywomen. So who in the hell do you think you are by encouraging people not to vote for that picture? Who in the hell do you think you are?

You wanna start bitching and complaining that I put that picture up because I wanted to influence voters? What the hell are you doing in saying what you did? There were people on that thread, if you had been bothered to read it, that liked my picture but they CHOSE to vote for another picture.

If I had won the competition, fair enough I would have won but I will be damned if people tell me that I won that competition because I put up two women dressed as schoolgirls of their own accord!

So i sincerely hope that the pair of you are happy, I really do hope that because the pair of you, with your bitching, your whinging and your whining, you forced me into this decision and now, you are making me even think about putting up more photos because that competition is all about fun. Where is the fun if people wanna moan that someone is trying to influence voting?

I wouldn't be too harsh, he/she is young and obviously has a strong feeling for equality, which I think is a good thing. Although, perhaps, a calmer voice would actually have more influence.
Most of us (general) probably don't consider enough some of the things we say or assumptions we make.

Its a competition so the picture shouldn't have been removed.

But going on by whats being said here its no worse/ not even remotely as bad as what appear on women's magazines, on tv, billboards and what you see lots of young women of my age wearing out at night and during the day.

If you don't approve of it say so to an admin, or more simple ignore it and don't vote for it.

Oh good someone else making a similar observation to mine earlier, where i was ridiculed by one contributer and that girls of my age dont dress in this manner in every day life. Glad of my memory isnt as bad of my nights out as i was starting to think, or the girls in my area wear less than that of the rest of the country!

Nothing wrong with your memory at all - it does happen!

Have to say, I feel slightly sorry for IPT in feeling the only way to resolve things was to withdraw from the competition, but I guess the show must go on
