TBH this backs up Tony Blair's recent article suggesting this is a big problem with a minority of people rather than a general problem with society as a whole.

This was live on BBC News 24 earlier today. A comment was made that 75% of those charged had previous criminal records.

Did anyone see this live programme when it was shown?

I was under the impression that they'd either been cautioned or sentenced but "Previous criminal records" only implies the latter.

Seems a rather pointless inquiry to me as it will be used for political gain and will make the Nazi-Soviet pact look neutral and sincere

A "caution" is also part of a criminal record, and can appear on a CRB check

What sort of offences had they committed in the past ?

This was not stated during the Parliamentary enquiry whilst the questioning by the MP's of the Metropoltan Police officials was in progress. Do I therefore take it that you think that the MP's should have asked for these details in order that the Metropolitan Police would submit these self-same details for public consumption?

I was merely curious to see if it was mainly for related offences such as theft etc.
