Depends what you call home. Salisbury has been the shortest time period it's been allocated to a depot. I think it spent about 15 years allocated to Heaton, 9 years at Salisbury and 11 years at Eastcroft.
Not short of units. Was planned transfer for the extension of Matlock services to Newark.
Don't think this was ever talked about, same as somw 170 units with declassified first won't be being removed.
Quite. The state of maintenance, if you can call it that, is abysmal. There's some real basic defects that should be extremely easy to remedy but no one's interested in stocking equipment and spares.

That’s the one thing I miss about EMT. Their fleet was run into the ground when they started, but they worked well with what they had; the drop in maintenance and condition of the stock under EMR is very noticeable in comparison.
I think we're up to set 9 now so 501-508 are all done and out and about.
Bit further ahead than that. 501-511 are done and 512 is the one currently being done.
Haha thanks unfortunately my memories of last unit workings arent as accurate as I thought. I know I had 514 and 513 this week and they weren't done but maybe I've not had 510 or 511 for a while. Either that or they've been broke

It's all part of the refurbishment plan, it even has trance music in the next coach!!
I think the plan is to run 12 car trains once more trains have been refurbished, which will cover the lost seats
