Reports on social media that St Pancras was evacuated; an unattended vehicle near the station was dealt with by the bomb squad

Well when the car is parked where it is, it has probably been watched and not moved for a bit, I'm not surprised they've done what they have.

A pointless one as well, no insurance company is paying that. Same as if you leave your vehicle blocking an emergency services vehicle and it has to be "helped" out of the way.

Exactly what I wrote further up, absolutely ridiculous place to leave a car.

Knowing the road gets fairly busy, it's difficult to imagine someone's point of view being 'it'll be okay if i leave it here and rush in to the station with someone or to pick someone up' and not come back in the timeframe taken to organise the EOD team and subsequent arrival.

I think they may have been wondering how the bonnet ended up open. It appears to be held open by the stay rod, suggesting the bonnet was opened manually, rather than as a result of the controlled explosion.

Yes - I think the other poster is just highlighting that it's interesting the bonnet appears to have been opened manually, before or after detonation, but all the doors are closed and the wing mirrors are folded in which on that model of Juke implies they're locked.

Agreed to be honest. Presumably not a TfL road which are (almost?) always red routes, but a Camden borough one. My understanding (happy to be corrected) is that all London red routes are managed by TfL, so I wonder what the rules are regarding boroughs creating their own as the relevant highways authority, rather than when TfL are the highways authority.
