Places to park at Wimbledon station?

I'm taking the district line up to Kensington and for this particular trip will need to park at Wimbledon. When researching options the best choice to me seems to go to the APCOA car park at the station and buy the £6.50 off peak day parking.

Will I be able to reliably find a space at the car park? If not , what is the best alternative?

What particular trip? Do you have a time of the day and day of the week in mind?
