Longest possible journey by electric bus?

As rollouts continue, what's the furthest you can travel now using only all-electric buses?

I thought Morpeth to Peterlee (changing in Newcastle) was going to be pretty far, but it's actually probably only around 40 miles.

I'd suggest X1 from Birmingham to Coventry, followed by 148 to Leicester, then 127 to Loughborough, then 9 to Nottingham and then Yellow line to Bulwell?

That must be a fair few miles?

I don't see the problem with coaches as long as they're used on registered services.

You could actually extend that journey by going via Aberdeen, using either Ember or Stagecoach between Inverness and Aberdeen. Having said that, there's no guarantee of an electric vehicle on the Stagecoach services.

Wouldn't the Sky Blue Line 61 be longer than the Yellow Line 70/71?

Madley to Weston Super Mare would be my suggestion.

448 Madley to Hereford (Operated by Newport bus from 30th August.)
66 Hereford to Monmouth (Newport bus)
65 or 69 Monmouth to Chepstow (Newport Bus)
T7 Chepstow to Bristol (Newport Bus)
X1 Bristol to Western Super Mare (First WofE)

Granted, the 448 only runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays and may not always be allocated an electric, and the 66 can sometimes not be electric too, but possible with sufficient luck.

I make that 84 miles without coaches involved at all. You could probably make it closer to 100 by instead taking the A1 to Bristol Airport from Bristol Bus station, changing to an A3 there for WSM and if you get lucky get the 7 on to Worle if that gets an electric.

Also, some X8 buses from Wolverhampton to Birmingham, and 529s from Walsall to Wolverhampton, are electric.

Also possible on weekdays if you don't mind changing buses somewhere in the central section.

You could also connect in from Rotherham via the 22x route to add on an extra hour or so.

On a Mon-Fri, the 2015 10A is always worked by a Yutong EV coach, which would be the longest way to do Inverness-Aberdeen on an EV.
