Just saw this from GWR.

I know for a fact they have been selling super off-peak returns with no seat reservations and a lot of people have those booked with no way of getting seat reservations now.
Surely they cannot turn people away who were able to buy (rather pricey) tickets in good faith on Sunday?

“Heading to the #CommunityShield at the @principalitysta on Sunday?
If you're taking the train, here is some important information about your journey
Seat reservations are mandatory on all services to Cardiff before 1500. Book in advance to avoid disappointment
Reservations from London Paddington are SOLD OUT.
Please do not turn up without a booked seat as you will not be permitted to board
We are putting on extra services, but trains back from Cardiff will be very busy. A queuing system will be in place
Check the times of the last train home carefully at GWR.com”
