It seems 698 is delicenced again. 902/8 have also been delicenced. 824 is currently in body shop. I suspect the B5 conversion currently in paint shop will replace 756

Any idea if 20818 is still parked up in Scarborough as it’s almost 12 months since work was originally started on this at Anlaby Road. Last I was told was it (along with 20824, 827 and the 3 ex B&H) were parked down the side of Barry’s Lane.

The 06:50 X7 to Withernsea is on a X46 board. That's the only time I can see a 26 plate MMC on the X7 in the last few days of tracking.

The only other MMCs I can see are the 69 & 20 plates which have been relieved from the X46 by the 26 plates and are being moved onto other services. I believe some will go to the X45 and some have been on the 41/141 and 75/X7 as well.

It appears they are altering the Anlaby road lines again. With the 58 now potentially running from Hessle to Castle Hill come September. Don’t really get the thinking behind this one with the 26 already going between the two?

I think it’s more for operational purposes as a lot of the time, the 45 interworks with the 58. But route wise, potentially more connections with Anlaby Road and Beverly Road??? Not sure

Looks like there's lots of changes to Castle Hill Hospital services in general. As mentioned, cancellation of the 44/45 & extension of the 58. The 58 registration no includes the 59, but instead a 58A & 58B. Also timetable changes for the 54 & 104, as well as a new 105 service under the 104 registration.

I forgot to share this the other day but while waiting to spot a Stagecoach Yutong going up Beverley Road like a damn turtle, I saw 20509 deadrunning to Beverley to take over from 20513, but what I noticed was on its Not in Service blind, underneath it says "North Riding"

Whats ironic is this bus is Hull allocated, has Scarborough locals branding and now it thinks its a North Riding bus... does EY even care about branding anymore because its all over the damn place! I probably am overreacting to this but surely it can't be good for passengers when theres inconsistent branding all over Yorkshire where a bus route says 1 branding, and the actual bus says another? For example North Riding 20814 when it did EastRider X46 the other week. If I wasnt an enthuasist and was a regular passenger it would definitely confuse me although sure, your average Joe probably isn't checking branding before getting on a bus. Just thought it was odd hopefully I arent the only one

It's not ideal for buses to be used in the wrong branding, but it's far from uncommon. The reason for First launching their new universal "Ultraviolet" livery was because they had had so many buses moving around the country and so many different local brands and sub-brands that it was very common for buses to appear in the wrong branding, often from a completely different part of the country. It's basically a choice of (a) have a single national brand and no variation, or (2) accept that vehicles will move around, divisions will grow and shift, and it won't always be possible to keep buses in appropriate branding for where they are being used.

This isn't a new thing with East Yorkshire. Back in the 1990s there were always buses running around Hull with Scarborough & District fleetnames.

It would make sense for a Scarborough Locals bus to have a North Riding destination blind as Scarborough Locals is folded into North Riding. There will always be odd allocations in Hull as buses cycle through Anlaby Road for maintenance, etc.

What is confusing is that the Procters branding was set to be folded into North Riding as announced in January, yet last month they've put another E200 into Procters branding from East Yorkshire livery. Its now being used on North Riding services (82/83/84).

On the subject of 20814, it received North Riding branding for the 80. The 80 was the only North Riding route that could use double deckers when the brand was launched in April 2024. It doesn't need double deckers but it was the only spare Pocklington had at the time and would be used on the 80 around school services in Pocklington. Pocklington only operates the Y12, Y14, 1 80 duty and 1 82/83/84 duty under North Riding, as well as the Mondays & Fridays only 1 to Selby.

Sounds like the driver on this particular bus just put up a Not In Service blind without considering the brand with it. Not really that important all things considered, especially as the bus was out of service.
