LNER Website not giving the full range of tickets on Lumo West Coast services?

Hi all,

I've just noticed that I'm struggling to find Lumo Only fares for tomorrow's 06:41 Preston to London Euston/16:36 return from London Euston to Preston on the LNER website.

(Yes I'm sure I could on Lumo's on website/other websites etc.)

They're correctly being offered on The Trainline (although I'm sure I'm not the only one who normally hates them.)

In fact I've just noticed that LNER aren't offering Advance tickets on tomorrow's 06:41 or 16:36 departures. (£59.90 southbound/£57.90 northbound).

The Lumo Anytime Return Preston to London Euston is £145.

In fact is the £84.90 Any Permitted single shown in the return journey valid? I thought it had the usual Avanti imposed restrictions of not being permitted to leave London between 15:01 and 18:44 Monday to Thursday.

The Off Peak Single by the restriction text is not valid at the time noted, however there is a problem in the implementation of the restriction code 9I which is done by TOC and Lumo isn't set up, thus it will appear to be valid at any time on Lumo.

Full implementation details on brfares.com:

This issue will therefore appear on all retailers, not just LNER, and if sold with an itinerary is contractually valid (though the Lumo Anytime fare is only a few quid more for those preferring not to have arguments with staff).

Not exactly an answer to your question, but for understanding what tickets are available, a MixingDeck-style interface can be very helpful.

The main place to get that nowadays is realtimetickets, and it does offer a wider range of tickets than LNER is showing, even if not taking into account split tickets. it does offer the lumo stirling only anytime return you mention.

To see the MixingDeck-style interface, click on "detailed".

Well that was very quickly sorted out.

The LNER website now appears to be offering a full range of tickets on the Lumo West Coast trains.

Thank you for your replies.
