The Cathcart Circle, Newton and Neilston branches are shut this weekend.

What's interesting is no rail replacement has been provided at all, with only alternative train services on EK and Barrhead lines and use of the Service 3 bus from Neilston to Glasgow (which takes a very different route to the rail service). Now I'm all for alternatives to slow rail replacement but this seems a little bit lacking from ScotRail in some areas.

Also this mentions removal of a redundant bridge on the Neilston line. Any idea where that is?

This is specifically between the Balgraystone Rd & Springhill Rd bridges, west of the Balgray station site.

Surprised use of the 66 bus has not also been arranged, as this runs between Neilston station and Barrhead station.

I'm just surprised the lack of alternatives, like surely arranging use of rail tickets on First services is all that's needed. Some areas don't have a great service without trains.

Last year they had a minibus doing runs from Cathcart which stopped at the usual stations into Glasgow. Not sure what alternatives they had further afield, but I'm surprised nothing has been put on.
