Does anyone know why or if it’s an oversight as to why Wetheral and Brampton and also the stations from Carlisle to Dent are NOT included in the new Cumbria Travel Pass?

I see the map on railrover.org does indeed exclude the places you mention, but for me the actual T&Cs don't make it at all clear... On https://www.northernrailway.co.uk/tickets/cumbria-travel-pass it says
Which for me would include the places you mention, since they are in Cumbria! I would take the bit in (parentheses) as clarifying rather than restricting. Have you got some official statement from Northern either way?

Thanks for this and thanks for pointing out the seeming contradiction between railroverorg website and Northerns Ts and Cs which was causing my confusion.
Contacting Northern is my next step but I’m not on social media and they don’t seem to have a general queries email address on their website. I’ll need to dig some more.
Though the fact that the word “all” is not present weakens that argument. In other words “everywhere it is valid is in Cumbria” is not the same as “it is valid everywhere in Cumbria”. Just another example of the sloppy use of English which should get a strong reprimand at the very least for all involved and an immediate correction from the company.

I’ve sent an email this morning to Northern and can expect a response within 10 days apparently.
I’ve also contacted the Railroverorg website to see if they can clarify as well.
It isn’t clear though and I take on board @The exile point re: the poor use of English. At the moment I’m reading it as Cumbria pass but only valid between Lancaster and Carlisle via either the WCML or the Cumbrian Coast Line with added branch up to Windermere.

The "Cumbria" name is a misnomer anyway as it effectively no longer exists: instead you have "Cumberland" in the north, with "Westmorland and Furness" in the south and east - putting Carnforth > Barrow into Furness, and much of Settle > Carlisle into Westmorland (along with Penrith and Kendal...)
I know you said effectively; it is still there for ceremonial purposes, and there's an election for the mayor of the Cumbria combined authority due next May.
Whilst it's been discussed elsewhere, it's a shame that there's been no replacement for the old day ranger covering Lockerbie and Dumfries as well.
Even as a ceremonial county it's wrong anyway as Furness and Cartmel are really historically part of Lancashire...
If Cumbria is used, the term refers to the ceremonial county established in 1974 and which no longer has a county council.
To my knowledge, the notion of a Cumbria with defined boundaries did not exist pre 1974.
That's my point. "Cumbria" was just a synthetic amalgam of Cumberland, Westmorland and "Lancashire over the Sands". The name should have no relevance now
