I don't know exactly which ones are due but 10817/20-32/34 are surplus. In total there are 37 MMC's due from Merseyside and Midlands to be split mainly between Worksop and Lincoln. Some other depots will get cascaded MMC's from Hull when the electric decker's go in.

As far as I know, all of 10830 upwards were supposed to get 'METRO' livery, and transfer to St Helens for 6/9. Non-METRO liveried E400MMC's still with Merseyside are 10573-7 (Birkenhead), 10814/5 (Birkenhead), 10817/20-32/4 (Gillmoss), 10882-8 (Birkenhead), 11101-7 (Gillmoss - going to Chester), 11621-5/8/46/79 (Birkenhead).

Don't forget the e10s to Mansfield when,they go then e12s for hull more ev saloons next year and 7 yutong deckers for hull next year too.

From what I'm seeing, Hull will most likely lose all of their MMCs due to the number of buses that need replacing. There are currently 35 400MMCs and 5 200MMCs at Hull, and with 58 plates or older being removed, that is 96 buses that need replacing across the region. Hull is getting 46 EV buses, and there are 37 new MMCs coming to replace older buses, so that's 83 buses being replaced so far (46 + 37), but that still leaves 13 old buses to be removed (96 - 83 = 13). And this doesn't even count the buses that are usable but are either already out of service or planned to be soon, like 37001 at Mansfield, which had a thermal burn in the engine and needs to be replaced. So either there will be more movements or more EVs than anyone was told about.

From my quick count there are (give or take) 76 pre 58 reg E400's to be replaced.

If there are 37x 400MMC cascades in and 32x EV DD in that totals 69. With a shortfall of 7.

Then there is the talk of some E400's from Scotland which may account for this.

And now, for your regularly-scheduled update from Foster Street's electrification programme...

Remember last Wednesday when I justified the lack of progress being the fact the workers were likely on their lunch breaks? Well, when I went by again later that afternoon, there had not been any further progress. There has been some development since Wednesday though: the shrubbery around the depot fences has been cut away and there are now pits cut around the inside of the perimeter fence, presumably for the installation of charging equipment.

As for how much has been dug up, though, here's a rough approximation by ways of wiggly red line on a Google Maps screenshot:

Other than that, and the installation of barbed wires over where the generator is on the Withernsea Street side of the depot, nothing to report from the outside looking in.

That's true, if the PVR increases and they don't loose other runs. There is of course a possibility of loss of school contracts at other depots which may free up vehicles.

Other OpCo's are disposing of 10 plates at the moment so other transfers in are probably not out of the question.

I did hear a rumour that 10038/40/41 were due from Stagecoach Midlands at some point.

10820-29 will be leaving Gillmoss Depot soon as they are being replaced by new buses under Liverpool Ciry Region franchising.

I'm guessing it's because the MOT is due to be done soon. Its MOT expires on 15 August 2026, and they are repainting Scania N230UD ADL Enviro400s right now. So I'm guessing it's going to get its MOT done either at Grimsby or Hull
and then repainted at Hull, and it could be that it will run some routes at Grimsby for the time being.

I'm guessing it's because the MOT is due to be done soon. Its MOT expires on 15 August 2026, and they are repainting Scania N230UD ADL Enviro400s right now. So I'm guessing it's going to get its MOT done either at Grimsby or Hull
and then repainted at Hull, and it could be that it will run some routes at Grimsby for the time being.

Main MOT is at hull same with their repaints so unsure why its here

Birkenhead isn't closing as it's not part of the LCR franchising, but is being retained for the Liverpool/Chester routes 1/X1.....

It wasn't a mistrack, I saw it with my own eyes, no picture though as was driving. As mentioned already though, it could perhaps have been waiting for workshop space and made useful meanwhile.

YEs but i believe only 23/73 plate MMCs ve doing 1/X1 with chester doing more duties using there MMCs

I heard 10882-10888 will become surplus and transfered but this may have changed

10817/20-7 all seem to be out of use now, none have tracked since 1/8, with most last used in the days before, so perhaps these are about to leave for East Mids (assuming that's where they are off to....)
