At least this and the other V-MEV example will be getting cherished plates to hide their age. (So everyone assumes they're X regs)

07andrew - I can't confirm either way with 20994, but I can't imagine it has long left being the only NC bodied B10M in the NW.[/QUOTE

It was a bit stupid putting a flippy dot into 20436. It had a flip dot in, 3 month later, it was withdrawn.

20994 was due to be off a while ago but it's still going it would seem. It's an ideal bus with its capacity but isnt really pratical to have it in the fleet with parts having to be sourced in etc. I am told it left Carlisle due to the fact when it was off the road and needing repair it wasnt as easy to get parts for as the standard PS. I remember a few cracking trips on it to Gretna a few years back.

It doesnt take a lot of work to change blinds around if the have got the time. Saying that It could have happend at Carlisle to get rid of the flip-dots but has not yet. For all a lot of buses will have to stay for the Olympics I would not be so sure about 20436.

Does anyone know when Preston are likely to receive replacements for the single-step double deckers?

Rumours have been going around for a while about stuff going to Preston for the 59/61, some say KLs Tridents others London Tridents so who knows lol.

Paul, could get a hint as to weather this new arrival at ME is single or double?

Does Stagecoach in Cumbria ever substitute Double Deckers for Single Deckers & Coaches on the 555 during the Winter timetable when passenger numbers are likely to dip?

It can happen from time to time that a B10s is put on the 555. However as with any other depot this only really happens when nothing else is available or there is a failure. For example vehicles not starting on a cold winters morning etc. Kendal won't purposely allocate a single to the 555.

Not just in the winter, but if decker availability is poor a B10M will be substituted.
Favoured run for this is the 0705 off Kendal because it ges back into Kendal at around 0930, just after the schools deckers have returned.
It's far from ideal though as it gets very busy with people going into work/school in Lancaster though.

Been tipped off which one it is... didn't know we were 'short'...!
Also, 3 lowliners confirmed to have been treated to the garish LMC rear adverts.

It would be very nice to see that in service, looking good!

It would seem that 22104 is out on Moorclose 50 this morning. Not the ideal allocation on the tight estates and already running late, I can't see it lasting all day...........

16870 was on 51 as well!

Been in Newcastle all day, just the 11reg hybrids and E400's seen today with ALX300's.

What's Stagecoach's policy for withdrawing buses versus giving a bus a full refurbishment including new engine & repaint?
