I was quite surprised to see that FIG were getting Yutongs over the new ADL E400EV considering they had the demonstrator and from what I’ve heard it had pretty good reviews.

According to the local Facebook group issues on the 141 due to vehicle assigned to route breaking down and replacement being too large to negotiate part of route around Thornwood

Unrelated, amusingly MIG8433 (ex SO15 CUK) was harking back to its old location showing the destination 3 Cribbs Causeway whilst on the 3 Govan Bus Station service!

You think any buses that have been sent to Glasgow for the games will stay in Glasgow? Because I have a feeling some of the Gemini’s might be kept as Glasgow has lost a lot of their ones over the past few months.

No, the ones that where on loan to Leeds have returned and are in service

I was referring to the fact that Glasgow has lost a bunch of Gemini in general over the past few months, like apart from 37536, the rest of the SF08 batch have been withdrawn.
The ones for Commonwealth Games are already required in other fleets as far as I'm aware and they're short due to them being up here

37588 is supposed to be staying to replace a poorer example. It was a recent arrival from West of England indirectly.

Be good to have some better nick Geminis up here, The batch that went to Aberdeen that where ment for here where in fantastic condition, Geminis are well looked after down South in comparison to here, 37588 was in Yorkshire before coming here, was transferred there when more West of England Yutongs started to enter service then it was transferred to Leeds, also has a different Euro 6 kit fitted to the rest of Glasgow, 37588 has a HJS system and Glasgow has Eminox so not sure if that'll factor in wether it stays or not

Some have been made available as its now school holidays (such as buses from Halifax and Huddersfield) so aren't necessarily required right now but will be in September. It's not helped by several buses being on loan to York covering for the Metrodeckers.

Does anybody know if the new 243, 209, 211 timetable are accessible anywhere?
Details are here but no timetables yet:-

What's changing?
A quick guide to the changes affecting Lanarkshire services from 16th August.

Service What's changing on 16th August
209 Minor timetable revisions will be introduced.
211 Route revised - buses will no longer serve Holytown Shirrel road (this area will continue to be served by Service 242). In Hamilton, journeys towards Thrashbush will operate via Quarry Street, Duke Street, Low Patrick Street and Blackswell Lane. A revised timetable will also be introduced to help improve punctuality.
243 A revised timetable will be introduced with new later evenings in both directions on Saturdays.

211 change in Holytown makes sense. 211 and 242 frequently follow each other around the scheme the way the timings are.

The Cribbs Causeway problem has been there since Day 1 of the repowers. Most drivers just switch it off. Although that then shows a West Of England software version. It's not really rocket science if you plug it into a laptop you can upgrade the system to a Glasgow version of software.Even E300s have recently been fitted with the software

First Glasgow seems to think you are lucky to get a Bus and you should be thankful.

Says a lot of the Company ethos on quality delivery.
Need I say any more.

It's in the planned changes section on the website always been since it's been posted
How come when you go into some other operators websites, like Lothian or McGill’s, it’s so much easier to find information?

You would think that there would be a clear advert on the homepage which would take you straight to the changes?

I also think it’s also reasonable to expect links for the affected timetables. Have a look at Stagecoach East Scotland’s changes from next month and you’ll see what I mean.

Are any other Gemini’s staying in Glasgow after the games? Like the Ex-Manchester one that was sent to Aberdeen originally (37459).

Probably, since it would be weird to have a Blue Gemini with Bristol Branding out on regular Glasgow routes.
They had a B7RLE out in service last year with Beeline branding for Heathrow Airport so it’s not unheard of then the 2 Green Essex Streetlites

Blue geminis with Bristol branding are commonplace in Sheffield, Doncaster and Huddersfield, maybe Glasgow have higher standards lol
