Oh, thanks for letting me know. Do you have an updated list?
I think that list is for the transfer of the private TOCs to DFTO control, and includes the merged GA/c2c operation.
There are bound to be further changes as GBR sets out its regional organisation and operational structure.
If restructuring/mergers don't happen, we will have lost a key benefit of the public ownership integrated model.
England doesn't need 13 autonomous TOCs and 4 NR Regions (that's leaving out Scotland, Wales and the local concession TOCs).

On a fleet related note then, with the confirmed sharing of the Aventra fleet and the fact is is known Greater Anglia ended up with more than it needed, could this result in a gradual reduction of the 26 year old 357 fleet and replacement with 720s?
I doubt it - they are doing mid-life corrosion repairs and re-painting the Class 357s now, now into GBR Anglia livery, but previously into magenta c2c livery. I doubt they’d retire any of them just after spending money on them, and they aren’t life-expired. The contract to do the rest of the ones which haven’t yet been done is already in place. Personally, the only advantage of the Aventras is the plug sockets - the Class 357s have more comfortable seats plus some tables, and the narrowness of the Aventra body makes 3+2 seating more difficult to walk through. The Aventra PIS with the colour screens looks nicer, but the older one in the Class 357s isn’t really very deficient in functionality in comparison.

C2c passengers won't be happy with more 720's they're always moaning about them on the fb groups.

People tend not to join Facebook groups because they're non-enthusiasts just dying to praise a class of train currently operating.

On top of this, since it seems like there'll be a separate Stansted Express sub-brand within the Anglia region, so you can expect Heathrow Express to stay. Maybe the Luton Airport Express brand but I'm less confident about that.

Heathrow Express is technically an Open Access Operator and so isn't part of GBR. Perhaps things will change from 2028 at the expiry of its access agreement.

TfL is lobbying for Heathrow Express to disappear from 2028.

Possibly, though I’d expect (barring TfL getting their way) the current management contract to continue and be renewed, just with GBR GW. Possibly no livery change, though.

There aren’t enough 720s to replace the 357s. Anyway, as electrostars, the 357s are a very standard and reliable fleet, there is no real reason for them to be replaced for at least 10 years.

It isn't a management contract. Heathrow Express is owned and controlled by HAL. Only the train provision and operation is contracted out to GWR by HAL, nothing else.
If the track access contract isn't renewed or extended in 2028, it may not transfer to GWR as HAL control their own infrastructure and will have a big say in who gets the paths into the terminals.
This is one reason why the DfT are currently appointing lawyers to look into what could happen in 2028.

The bit in bold is what I meant. GWR's provision and operation is done by a management contract from HAL. Presumably HAL would want to keep the HEx going for the foreseeable future (especially with OOC opening) but whether that's through an in-house OA application, a collaboration with another OAO (First again?) or their same deal, just with GBR is something to consider. Probably not in this thread, though.

For the avoidance of doubt, the contract to provide and operate is with GWR, not FG. That contract will continue with GWR after it is transfers to DfTO on 13/12/26.

5-car sets are just more versatile. I think most people would prefer a short-formed service when there's a fault on one of the units than a cancelled service.
10cars units are effectively two 5 car units however, so its very rare a single fault on one halve takes out the whole 10 car unit vs two seperate 5 cars coupled up.

All of the CIS “summary of departures” screens on GA appear to have been amended to the GBR style.

Be nice to see the London, Tilbury and Southend name return rather than c2c or Essex Thameside.

They re replacing a number of the original Blackbox screens with newer screens across major stations, over the network bit by bit.

A number of stations have now had their main screens on the concourse/booking halls changed from multiple smaller screens to one large format LED and when that has been done, the large format main screen has been switched to the new layout.

There was talk that they would be rolling the new layout to platform etc single screens over time, but there was also talk of replacing some of the first generation Blackbox screens (with the big grey brackets/casing) with newer Infotec screens running Blackbox software without the big brackets/casing as seen in Beaulieu Park and Cambridge South.

And Colchester I believe.

Are you sure it's all?

Pretty sure it is for the major hubs. Cambridge South was done first as the new station. This is a new generation of the Blackbox software/hardware which they’ve tied in with the GBR Anglia recent announcement

Chelmsford now has the GBR boards and clock!

Also has a TfL Service Status board and a few bus departures on the “arrivals” side. Not sure all need the TfL status but might depend on distance from London.

Blackbox are buying displays from Infotec now but continuing to run their own software.

Indeed. Just simplified that into “software/hardware”!

The new Anglia network map looks pretty crisp.

That LTS section is a bit cramped, but I do like the clear link between Romford and Upminster, and this map would've been helpful when trying to explain the route into London during the Stratford fire. The current one just shows the LO line to Upminster IIRC.

Edit: and Liverpool Street is missing the EL roundel!

I despair - the whole point of GBR is/should be to recreate a national, unified network, but they still perpetuate regional/route branding. A small thing, perhaps, but still the lack of nationally-cohesive thinking is obvious. Stock should be interchangeable across the whole network (subject to technical issues of course) without further external re-branding work being required (even if just regional vinyls). Passengers don't care whether their train is locally-branded on its 'home' turf, but they will probably notice if, to take a random example, an Exeter to Exmouth train has Anglia branding after a stock transfer.

Do all the passing places have to be added manually? Because I guess it can’t get from e.g. Southend Central to Shoeburyness without passing Southend East and Thorpe Bay, but they’re not shown.
Only mandatory timing points (generally major stations or junctions) and applicable conditional timing points (e.g. non-mandatory timing points which a train stops at or where it goes into a loop) are added when a schedule is created. RTT interpolates the missing intermediate stations and junctions on the day of departure, but they are marked in grey because they are effectively guesses rather than actual planned timings.
