GBRf Class 60s

Wonder where she's off to, I can't imagine 087 going into the storage line at Doncaster?

Given that 087 is on a wheel skate, I'm unsure that they'd want a locomotive that's difficult to move clogging up the sidings. I suspect she'll end up at Toton.

60095 which has been on hire to DCR for some time, the only GBRf 60 to be doing anything

60026 should be on the usual Doncaster to Toton 0M67 loco transfer later today, unless a vstp for an earlier path goes in.

Aren't they keeping the 57/3s in store for some of that, as well as ten class 99s replacing at least ten 66s. Theoretically, with the alleged downturn in railfreight, the introduction of brand new locos and the fact that GBRf have not yet sold any redundant assets, there should be plenty, even of it is 73/1s and 73/2s on some RHTTs.

Well, not that long ago, there was even a suggestion that some GBrF 66s would be sold to Colas to replace their 56s. Time will tell. I thought the 57/3s were being used on Underground train movements from Goole.

The 22 that are/were rumoured for transfer to Colas, are leased from Beacon Rail... so they would be returning them off lease to Beacon. However GB also own around 30x 66s outright last time I checked

I wonder why they left 026 there? Surely it would've been easier to take it on this train with it being at the back of the 60 line, rather than move it out of the way to get 002 076 & 085 and then just take those, unless there's a problem on 026?

Just a thought: is it possible the locos aren't going back to be reinstated for GBRf, but instead another operator? If GBRf were planning on using them again, why did DB run the light loco move?

0M22 is a regular DB move, no doubt it saved lots of hassle for GBRf by taking advantage of something already booked
