If it was between 4 and 6pm it would’ve been a Bath Unibus on the 4.Probably, the WOE fleet is a bit all over the place currently.

You mean the 41 right? The 4 doesn't serve Hotwell Road.If it was between 4 and 6pm it would’ve been a Bath Unibus on the 4.
The tendered timetable for the Y2C/918/622/104 - whatever it ends up getting referred to as - is really odd because it requires an extra bus only for the afternoon movement. Logically, a decker may be used for the trips that are currently 918 (which may also form an 0830 Thornbury - Yate), but i'd be surprised to see a decker running on any of it all day.I assumed from the previous post (#32,883) on the Y2C that it was going to incorporate the 918, and that was where the requirement for deckers came from?
The changes are already out. It will be the Y2C. I do not see why you are referring to changes like we wouldn’t know what’s happening. The tendered timetable for the Y2C/918/622/104 - whatever it ends up getting referred to as - is really odd because it requires an extra bus only for the afternoon movement. 71090 is also in York now.A post on Facebook suggests one of Bath’s new repowers 71092 will be diverted temporarily to York.
York appear to have taken out of service their Optare Metrodeckers for now following a Metrodecker fire that occurred in London.
It’s probable that 71092 (and possibly others) will be used to help cover for the sidelined buses.
First getting back the 25 would make sense, especially if it's being extended to Bedminster/SouthvilleAccording to the WEST 'upcoming changes' pages, First have won the 25, and Euro the Y8.
Presumably the remainder will trickle through in the coming days...

From that map It looks like it does a circular around Southville/Ashton and turns left onto Luckwell Road then right at the roundabout to head back towards Bedminster/Centre/Eastville.New timetable and route map. Presumably the 25 will operate out of Hengrove using Yutong U11DDs.

It will run down Raleigh Road before terminating. It’s strange how it goes via Dalby Avenue and Malago Road instead of staying with the 24From that map It looks like it does a circular around Southville/Ashton and turns left onto Luckwell Road then right at the roundabout to head back towards Bedminster/Centre/Eastville.
It is an oddity for sure. I suppose it means BCC doesn't have to fork out for the Wesley Street stop to be removed in the process. It will run down Raleigh Road before terminating. It’s strange how it goes via Dalby Avenue and Malago Road instead of staying with the 24
Presumably.Surely it is just a way for the outbound 25 to get to a place where it mirrors the inbound 24 asap?
I've never known the 24 to be completely full and standing since it went to decker operation about 9 years ago.Is the 24 struggling for capacity throughout?
Or could the 25, particularly in Southville, be considered as being additional capacity on the inner sections of the 24 (similarly to the 77 being additional capacity for the inner sections of the 74/75/76 and 1/2/2a/3/4.
Personally what I’d love to see them do is combine the 24/25 again and interwork them. I do believe the demand is there it’s just not been tested in a while.I've never known the 24 to be completely full and standing since it went to decker operation about 9 years ago.
Is there new development planned for the area? It might be that it's a planning obligation?Posted here as there's no infrastructure-related thread for this area!
Driving along Old Gloucester Rd B4427 last night, in the vicinity of where it crosses the M32, there is a long section of new pavement and kerb on the northbound side that includes a raised pavement section with Kassel (?) kerb, and yellow bus stop marking on the carriageway.
I'm not aware of this having ever been a bus route, so is something planned to go that way?
Seems an odd thing to do when the housing developments along there would surely be directed towards the Metrobus / T1 services on Rosedown Ave rather than trying to establish yet another route through that part of the world. If the last thirty odd years of bus services coming and going around Bradley Stoke and it's environs have taught us anything, it's that only a network of frequent corridors seem to attract any trade rather than trying to bring routes closer to folk less frequently.Posted here as there's no infrastructure-related thread for this area!

If it’s anything like BANES, Highways will have objected to a development unless a bus stop can be situated within 400m of all houses. Is there new development planned for the area? It might be that it's a planning obligation?
Apart from Sundays (and bank holidays), the 525 timetable looks the same as that being run today by Stagecoach?some new timetables are out! Massive improvements for Chew Valley - Massive downgrades for South Gloucestershire!
525/100/101 shown below
100 will run same timetable Mon-Sat with no Sunday service.
Of course, it looks like that, however there is still reduced journeys on the 525, and likelihood is it’ll be used less as Eurocoaches doesn’t advertise fares so no one uses it as a resultApart from Sundays (and bank holidays), the 525 timetable looks the same as that being run today by Stagecoach?
Hardly a "massive downgrade" though. It loses nothing M-F, the 0557 on a Sat (plus two early morning journeys within Yate). It's only on a Sunday and arguably reflects the usage especially in the early morning.Of course, it looks like that, however there is still reduced journeys on the 525, and likelihood is it’ll be used less as Eurocoaches doesn’t advertise fares so no one uses it as a result
Presumably lemon will be using electrics on the 100 and they’re assuming that’ll make it faster
- When CT Coaches did the 179, it was 40 mins from High Littleton to Bath but Big Lemon will do it in 31 mins.
- X91 takes 21 mins from Imperial Park to Temple Meads - it's 11 mins on the 100.
- Chew to Imperial Park is 23 on X91 - it's 18 on the 100.
- High Littleton to Bishop Sutton isn't currently covered but it's 19 mins on 100 compared to 18 in a car!!
At least they have 20 mins to turn around at each end but will be interesting to see it in practice. As with the 20 in Bath you always seem to lose time if the driver has not got their foot to the ground. I think Imperial Park to Temple Meads in 11 mins might be the craziest part. I mean thats got to be a mistake right. Google Maps is telling me 20 mins in a car. Also stopping at the Ambury in Bath? Very strangeHardly a "massive downgrade" though. The 100 is a mental as I thought it would be (and as @Citistar suspected). To illustrate that:
Eurocoaches not advertising the fares isn't going to massively impact usage on the 525, but unrealistic running times on the 100 will.

Unless somebody has seen some helicopters being delivered to Parson Street...?I think Imperial Park to Temple Meads in 11 mins might be the craziest part.
Ambury seems to be becoming the new stop for the dumping everything that won't fit elsewhere. Since it's resurrection, 768 has utilised that stop. It's probably quicker than going in to the bus station (although at the moment with Manvers Street being closed, traffic around the bus station is working better than it ever has), but won't get any passing trade. Also stopping at the Ambury in Bath? Very strange
