hi, i'm in the running for Reading.Hey. What depot you in for?
I believe it was first week of June. I am hearing of people receiving rejection emails within a few days, so I am expecting mine by tomorrow or possibly Monday. When did you first apply?
haha yes me too!I believe it was first week of June. I am hearing of people receiving rejection emails within a few days, so I am expecting mine by tomorrow or possibly Monday.
Same here I applied for a depot driver position back in September 2025 but there were no position in the upcoming year so I applied for the mainline for Oxford have not got a rejection email yet.It does allow you to apply for more than one. I'm in the talent pool for Exeter mainline but ive since applied for a depot driver position as we all got an email to say there won't be any positions for mainline in the near future. I used the same account. It saved me entering my education and working history again.
Thanks mate, congratulations to you as wellEnd of October 2025, but I did my assessments with a different TOC. Only had to do the online assessment and DMI.
Congrats on passing your DMI…
forgive my ignorance but what does a depot driver do?Same here I applied for a depot driver position back in September 2025 but there were no position in the upcoming year so I applied for the mainline for Oxford have not got a rejection email yet.
Moving stock trains around in depots to storage or maintenance and between stations making sure all ready and prepared to use when at the starting pointforgive my ignorance but what does a depot driver do?
Conratulations! I recon I passed error checking then! Which depot did you go for?Just got a positive email that my application is under review by the hiring manager
Thanks. I’m applying for Oxford. Wasn’t overly confident with the error checking as I saw the time left and thought it had to be finished so went for it towards the end.Conratulations! I recon I passed error checking then! Which depot did you go for?
I did exactly the same! I assumed I would finish with ease then noticed the clock and panicked! Thanks. I’m applying for Oxford. Wasn’t overly confident with the error checking as I saw the time left and thought it had to be finished so went for it towards the end.
Hi, email them and show evidence it’s less than 60mins. In your case 59mins and you should be ok. Similar thing happened to a friend with a different TOC and after emailing them got through.just got my rejection, however it was based on travel time to depot (i knew I was pushing it at 59min but thought it was worth a punt!) assume this means I passed the error checking as they went to the effort to check location. Hope the rest of you get some good news today!
O really I emailed and they said no but I did not supply evidence. It is 58 minutes off peak but if my shift was days I would get the train which would take 45min.Hi, email them and show evidence it’s less than 60mins. In your case 59mins and you should be ok. Maps is saying 1hr 14 at peak time. I guess I have nothing to loose given that it’s the closest depot for methey would do there

Paddington. What about yours?Congrats. Where is your application for?
OxfordPaddington. What about yours?
Hi, I have my assessment centre on Tuesday and will be doing the same tests you did. Can you please clarify what the TEA-Occ involved? Is it definitely the phone book format where you have to look for a business and area code while listening for high or low tones? That’s what I’ve been practicing and have got my head around. I need to make sure it isn’t look at this sequence of shapes, what comes next, or look at this grid of apparently random letters and add to it to spell a descriptive word etc? I’m hopeless at those and haven’t prepared for them, now I’m terrified that’s going to come up.Did my first stage assessment today in Watford. Tests included tea-occ, m7sjt, dfft and group bourdon. I feel as if i did well in all apart from the SJT. Some of the answers for the scenarios threw me off because they were so similar. Hoping to get an email on how I did in about 7-10 days. Will keep everyone updated
Did you not also do your MMI the same day? I did my assessment at OPC Watford in May and we, 4 of us were there for GWR, did all the Psychometric Tests. 2 of the applicants were sent home for failing and then me and the other applicant had to do a SJT and then onto the MMI. Thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear you didn’t pass the error checking. I still haven’t heard anything!Yes I did. I failed the error checking test. If you haven’t heard back, I’d imagine you’re in with a good shot of the next stage!
If you haven’t heard by now I would say you have passed! They were contacting successful applicants on FridayThanks for the reply. Sorry to hear you didn’t pass the error checking. I still haven’t heard anything!
From when I did it earlier in the year, it was the online interviewDoes anyone know if the next step after the error checking is still the online interview, or is it now an invite to the in person test centre?
Ok thanks for replying mate. So it’s still the same as before then. Is it 3 or 5 questions? From when I did it earlier in the year, it was the online interview
Nope, we did 4 paper and pen based tests and then were sent home. We need to wait to see if we were successful to be invited to stage 2Did you not also do your MMI the same day?
