Anyone received a start date lately? If so, when were you offered the position?

I got an email recently stating they will give 3 dates and if you can’t make it then they will remove us from the waiting list

no new date, they had said its unprecedented but they are oversubscribed at the moment and will let me know about when i can get booked in again. it doesn’t sound like any time soon though.

No one truly knows when it is but there have been whisperings on late autumn around November time. Again that’s no guarantee so keep checking TFL careers for the latest job alerts and posts

They use a company called REED screening, an external company used to check references and do a deep dive on your employment history .

They will need your complete job history with any gaps in employment explained in detail, relevant emails and phone numbers to contact your old world places.

They will do a complete DBS check too. It is a lengthy process that can take some time but you’ll be able to see how far you’ve come alone with the checks with an online login. You can contact them by phone to add any additional info as well as updating the website yourself to help with the process.

Hello,
I’ve just successfully completed my REED check yesterday. Was wondering how long it usually takes to get a response form TFL? Also do you receive a start date with the date of the OH or is it given after the OH is done?

The date will come after your OH appointment, and not immediately, you may have to wait a number of weeks for availability of a training date.

I did speak to somebody today. It’s been around 2 months since I got reed checks done. I was told OH will be offered soon. It’s a bit of a wait right now but honestly, as long as you don’t leave your job etc, time flies. Best of luck

Been a CSA for roughly a year and half moved to a CSA 1 around 7 months in im currently looking to move into the service control department and control rooms have asked around but haven’t got the right answers just looking for advice

Just go on SharePoint and search Control Room staff or post related to Control Room staff in an email the people in different posts and stuff was your supervisor or Csm
