I have pre ordered.

I imagine the game might have in game subscriptions, that affect it characters back balance. Would be irritating but mimics real life.

From the leaks, the cafe robbery felt like RDR 2.

I was massively interested in GTA VI because I have been a fan of the series all my life. But after finding out the game was going to be digital only as well as the largest pre-order edition not actually having physical merchandise but simply giving access to extra in-game content, my excitement is a bit sullied, and considering that I was already cautiously optimistic at best given how long it's taken and what I've heard about the studio as a whole, that is not a good sign.

To this day I do not understand why they had this rule or why they considered it "bad sport".

I have not, but that's because I play GTA on PC so have to wait for that release.

I'm not sure.
After the runaway success of GTA V, it has some pretty big boots to fill. Hopefully it can succeed, but we shall see.

I think part of the problem is that it could really do with being split into two different sets of lobbies, one based around PvP, and another more geared towards the grinding and cooperative gameplay side. How you would police this though, I have no idea.
Having both mashed together creates a slightly weird dynamic and allows griefers to far too easily play havoc with those who just want to earn money and build their empire. I guess the bad sport mechanic for blowing up personal vehicles and leaving missions was an attempt to cut down on griefing, but it really didn't work and obviously doesn't apply to source and sell mission vehicles which are somewhat more of a pain when destroyed over a personal vehicle that can just be claimed from Mors Mutual and delivered back to you.

The best decision they made was changing the rules around invite only, friend and crew sessions to allow selling from businesses and other activities in them rather than being limited to public lobbies where it was far too easy to encounter a griefer with an Opressor Mk2 who had a nice easy time blowing all your stuff up before you had a chance to deliver it (usually in the slowest vehicles in the game, frequently either unprotected or with minimal armour, making you a sitting duck).

I grew up playing GTA 3, Vice City & San Andreas on the PS2 and when it was announced that GTA 6 was going to be based in Vice City I was really looking forward to it cause Vice City was always my favourite of the trilogy, still play it to this day for a 80s nostalgia trip.

I will buy GTA 6 when it comes out cause I have enjoyed it the GTA series. However, over the recent months/years my excitement has waned somewhat with the constant delays to not only the game itself but also the trailers and practices such as Rockstar milking GTA 5 online for countless years.

Although it was really pushing beyond what the hardware could do at the time GTA3: San Andreas was the last time I really enjoyed a GTA game, the world felt so big and open and felt like you could really do what you wanted. GTA IV felt a real step back with a much smaller and more limited world and GTA V I just didn't get into at all. I found the story missions really dull with long boring conversations that were just racial slurs and swears every second word, the online mode seemed to have a lot of potential if you had friends and could find fun game modes but I never found that plus the aggressive monetisation put me off.

Huge GTA fan going back to ancient times when it was a cartoonish top-down PC game so of course I preordered the Ultimate edition. Even upgraded to a decent OLED 120Hz tv and a PS5 Pro partly in anticipation how how great Leonida will look.

These days I mostly play online, but with no promise from Rockstar of an online mode in VI story mode will be absolutely fine as long as I can get myself lost in the evidently huge map. In my twenties and thirties I'd take a day or two off work for GTA releases and am actually considering it for this one too. Fair to say I'm extremely impatient for November to arrive.

I think it will be interesting to see how GTA VI has changed from V. I was 27 when V came out, and will be 40 when VI arrives.

The average age of the user base will have increased a bit and I wonder if the content will reflect this.

I'd like to get it, however I haven't bought a console game since the new version of Crash Bandicoot came out! Haven't even played anything for a couple of years.
If it was available for the PS4, I would've pre ordered it already, but understandably it's not being made for that (can't believe it how long ago it was it came out)
Having to fork out for a PS5 as well is making it a bit hard to justify. Maybe in the future when prices have come down.

GTA San Andreas was very cleverly made - by using a combination of a fairly short render distance hidden with fog and slow vehicles made to feel much faster using visual effects they managed to make what is quite a small map feel absolutely huge.

When the remastered version came out and didn't have the fog, it completely spoiled the effect and made the game feel small because you could see just how close everything really is.

I've been playing the GTA series of games since the very first one was release and have been looking forward to this one since it was officially announced. It's a good game for getting rid of a bit of stress and I've had some great laughs over the years at some of the antics you can get up to!

Have been a GTA fan for most of my life, been playing them since a rather inappropriate age (I'm know I'm not alone there). I won't be getting VI on release, but more likely much later on when I can afford a decent OLED TV, a PS5 Pro and whatever the game itself will cost when I finally take the plunge.

I now own all the 3D-era titles on the PS2 (III, Vice City, San Andreas and the two 'Stories' games; have never played Advance or Chinatown Wars, or the first few top-down entries) alongside the Complete Edition of IV (base game and both DLC story expansions on one disc) and V on the PS3 (considering getting the latter for my PS4), but San Andreas, Liberty City Stories and IV were my personal go-tos of this series growing up and are the ones that had the biggest impact on me personally.

I'm going to wait for the PC version (whenever that gets released) standard PS5 around is £570 now with the pro around £770, watch the PS6 being around the £1000 mark at launch, my laptop (which i have hooked up to a monitor via HDMI cable) which i can play games on was £480, all i need is an external hard drive with more storage space preferably 4TB.

GTA 6 is £69.99 for standard & £89.99 for the ultimate edition on the PS store, download only for a whilst at launch as Rockstar doesn't want the game to have early unauthorised releases like GTA V was, physical copies if your not buying froman online store come with a download code.

Of course, but I don't see it arriving within the same timeframe as the main release. New DLC continues to be pumped into GTA V Online including some to be released in a few days. There'll have to be a decent transition plan between old and new online modes and I imagine both would have to exist side by side for some time.

Feels like we all did it. I still do it in GTA Online now. Find a freight train, park my Deluxo in an empty container wagon and go for a tour around the island.

I'd argue that GTA is one of those games where the majority of people initially buy/play it for the single player content.

Probably true. I went onto Online after about a year though having rinsed the story mode a few times. And I can see how that's been a money printer for 12 plus years now.

GTA IV had the best metro system. GTA V’s one sucks and SA’s one is unrealistic. I think SA’s one reminds me of the Lagos Red Line in Nigeria.

I think the newer versions were more realistic but San Andreas had a strong vibe to it. IV as well though the lack of features for its realism, at the time, also add some bare ness. Whilst I haven’t played V online much but have played the story a lot it also has its own vibe but it isn’t as cool as SA’s and actually feels much more clean or polished. Maybe more of GTA V’s vibe is found in the online game.

I brought a Ps5 to play GTA vi so am replaying V now.

The PS5 is only going to go up in price thanks to AI data centres, and now Sony seems set to (further) destroy its reputation by deleting digital content that people paid for, and stopping the sale of physical discs in the future - so if you buy a game online, they can remove it down the line... how long seems to be how long they think they could get away with.

It's damn frustrating because once the fuss dies down, I bet Microsoft will do the same and possibly even Nintendo.

I got a ps5 slim in preparation for gta vi and it was a disappointment as the console would crash whilst playing on it so returned it and got an Xbox series X. Found the ps5 to also feel badly designed and too big.
