I don't recall the bridge getting renewed? If it was it wasn't a big project. From what I've been told the bridge is in pretty awful condition and NR were adamant there was no chance of allowing higher speeds for non MU trains over it.
I maybe mistaken if course, but from the train it looked like a new Network Rail-style structure with welded green-painted square-section railings welded to the girders. If I'm wrong then it's amazing how many evils you can conceal with a lick of green paint!

It's possible some small work like that took place and I never noticed - and there weren't any obvious clues like a temporary speed restriction. I'm not the most observant! But if the messroom rumours were true, it needs a big replacement job to be fit for 67s at 90.....

Looks like there are some diagram changes from tomorrow:

1V33's diagram does 1W63 instead of 1W61

1V31's diagram does 1W97 instead of 1W63

Presumably... 1W11/1V37/1W61/1V62 is a 197 for the foreseeable?

Odd... means both diagrams now finish at Canton in addition to starting there (as booked for 1W11's normal diagram), rather than 1W13's usual diagram finishing in Holyhead.

Safe to say this evening has been a bit chaotic...

67012+HD04 currently in trouble on 1W97 due to an obstruction on the line in the AGV area

67010+HD03 working 1V66 as far as CRE, then 5K70 from there

67025+HD07 pined SHR-CDF on 1V62: working 1Z24 SHR-MAN in place of the stranded 197 pair at CWM on 1W24, then working 1K74

67013+HD05 pined HFD-CDF on 1V50: picking up 1W65 from HFD, then expected to work 1J76 as far as CRE, or get pined CRE-MAN on 1W65 depending on lateness

To add to the pinch of salt, 67013 has failed on 1W65, meaning today has had 2 failures, plus the earlier farce that everything is still trying to recover from.

1V31 etc tomorrow showing as 197117.
They'll use that one to minimise diagram disruption. Starts at Crewe, ends at Crewe. Once a set becomes available again at Crewe the diagram will then be filled again, normally how this sort of thing goes.

Will be all day, 3 sets visiting Crewe ETD, HD02 there for repairs to damaged gangways, HD05 for underframe checks after hitting the obstruction last night and HD06 heading for tyre turning. 2 are planned back tomorrow so should be back to normal for Thursday.
