Suspect a full fleet of MMCs but some vehicles may get loaned until all the new METRO spec vehicles are delivered.
I don’t think Stagecoach have plans for routes - they are just the contractor. In the coming weeks should be finding out what Stagecoach plans for Sthelens routes and fleet here
I wonder if GB Kites have been considered alongside the E200s as well?A large amount of Ultroliners are in build, and many of them are for St Helens so I'm told......
Do we know when the bus station is meant to be ready? That will have some bearing on how the plans are going to be implemented in the short term .In the coming weeks should be finding out what Stagecoach plans for Sthelens routes and fleet here
GB Kites are ruled out. There are currently NO plans for St Helens depot to be electrified.I wonder if GB Kites have been considered alongside the E200s as well?
Should be in September just in time for the franchising.Do we know when the bus station is meant to be ready? That will have some bearing on how the plans are going to be implemented in the short term .
Good good. Had a trip out to St Helens on Friday afternoon and I could see some steel appearing on the Bickerstaffe Street end of the building siteShould be in September just in time for the franchising.
There part of Cumbria and North Lancs nowQuick question, is this thread still used for South Lancashire (Preston and Chorley) discussions?
Perhaps we need a separate thread for Lancashire Busses?
We could discus Stagecoach, Transdev, Preston Bus and Lancashire Subsidised services.
Ideal for Preston and Chorley (all those different routes between the two and a new 124 which has been running for a few months.
We could also discuss the Preston Bus incursion into Stagecoach 125 route and Stagecoach 111 incursion to Tanterton.
Anyone agree?
Pros and cons.
Once you go down the route [no pun intended!] of purely geographical boundaries, you can lose track of pertinent comments / updates for specific operators. Some folks use one thread, some use another. There's already a Transdev thread and a Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancs one.
OK, I will post a couple of things in there then.I'd personally go with anything Preston related to go in the Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancs thread myself.......
I noticed on bustimes so could be false information as bustimes aint always right
there now 2 heritage liveried E400s
19396 (MX58 FSL) I seen photos of the MPTE one which is identical to the one Arriva did (not sure what colour area Logo they gone for)
But now I noticed 19255 (MX08 GNP) is apparently in Merseybus Maroon and cream livery
Has anyone got photos of 19255?
Im hoping thats not the fimished Merseybus livery doesmt sit right on a E400 needs headlights paining black atleast19255 does indeed carry Merseybus maroon/cream, and it was on the back fence at Gillmoss a few days back. I do have a picture, sent to me privately so not mine to post however.....but, it is visible on this FB post https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1657315856397765&set=pcb.1657315899731094
I'm told 19396 is apparently to be for training use at St Helens (perhaps an orange MPTE logo???)
HTH
Im hoping thats not the fimished Merseybus livery doesmt sit right on a E400 needs headlights paining black atleast
But good to see Stagecoach doing this
I do wonder if GNW may adapt there St Helens liveried B7RLE to Wirral Peninsula Buses? Or maby have a heritage livery trainer in Birkenhead Corperation or Wallasey Corperation livery
Are these timetable or route changes presume be timetablrs for end of summerChanges on VOSA from 31 August 2026:
Variation:
14/14A/14B/14C - Chester - Blacon
16 - Chester - Saltney
84 - Chester - Crewe
241 - Chester - Christleton High School
Variation to timetables - predominantly for punctualityAre these timetable or route changes presume be timetablrs for end of summer
Deckers are often seen on the 84. Maybe the first MMC on the route as the other three to date have mainly been on route 1.Not previously reported (that I can see) - 11104 now at Chester. Unusually worked 1830 Crewe - Chester this evening.
(My pic, in Nantwich)
Manchester buses often visit Merseyside visiting Rock Ferry for repainting.Stagecoach 13161 has moved to Gillmoss from Oldham. Does anybody know why specifically it has transferred there? (https://flic.kr/p/2svNGcR not my picture)
