NR TVMs with Oyster capability

Inspired by the other ITSO thread, I was wondering which TOCs have Oyster capability on their TVMs (and which stations if not all).

I think the following is correct (please correct if wrong):
GTR (Greater Thameslink Railway)-most (all?) TVMs in the Oyster zones

Elizabeth Line-all machines (except between West Drayton and Reading, where Oyster isn't accepted anyway)

London Overground-all machines

LNER (London North Eastern railway)-no machines

Southeastern-most (all?) machines in the Oyster zones

GWR (Great Western Railway)-no machines?

Does anyone know about the others (or can correct/confirm any of the above)?

West Drayton is in Zone 6, so will have Oyster TVMs.

C2C and South Western Railway within the Oyster area.

Lets not forget the LU managed Network Rail stations also have Oyster TVMs which are largely the same model used on the Elizabeth line and most LO stations.

The Greater Anglia TVMs at Stratford had them when I last visited, I doubt that's changed.

The only ones I'm not sure are those on Southern between Merstham and Horley, I wouldn't be surprised if Gatwick has Oyster TVMs or Chiltern TVMs within the Oyster area such as Wembley Stadium.

Most NR TVMs in the Oyster zones allow Oyster top ups and to add products like Travelcards, but don't allow you to see your journey history.

Some of the TVMs at Overground and Elizabeth Line stations do. Crystal Palace has one that does, and one that doesn't.

It depends on the type of TVM at LO stations. Most have the latest TVMs which integrate the LU interface with the ability to buy NR tickets along with journey history and discounted Oyster products, yet there are still some older TVMs which only allow basic top-ups, travelcards or a 7 day bus pass at full price.

Correct on both fronts. In fact the latter (supplied by Flowbird, as was) have dual Oyster/ITSO loading capability (separate readers).

LNER are not part of Oyster or CPAY so don't have the ability to service Oyster. Chiltern's TVMs are supplied by Arrive

Lots of interesting info so far! Also, does anyone know whether LNWR have oyster TVMs? I think they manage a few machines at Euston (as well as various other stations in the Oyster zones).

Perhaps a list of TOCs *without* Oyster TVMs is shorter.

So far, this would include:
Avanti
LNER
GWR
EMR

(unless some of these actually have some Oyster TVMs-GWR used to, but I think theirs have all gone now)

Pretty sure GWR ticket machines at Paddington had oyster last time I used one, maybe they've changed.

Avanti and LNER don't have Oyster on their Machines but all stations they serve within the zones are served by other operators who do have machine's at those locations

I think the Oyster enabled machines disappeared around 2 years ago when GWR greatly reduced the number of machines at Paddington and standardised on S&B (all the GWR ones I have seen in Paddington recently have had ITSO and not Oyster). Could be some Oyster ones hiding somewhere though…

In the no man's land between Southwark and Waterloo East stations, there is both a TfL LU TVM and a standard Southeastern TVM.

A picture of a Southeastern-branded TVM, with Oyster capability. No idea what model it is, but it's the same as the one in Waterloo East.

I was going to say don't GWR have S&B TVMs? certainly have that function as standard.NRE says that there are Oyster top up TVMs but then it goes on to say you can't use Smartcard tickets so your guess is as good as mine.

Interesting, the ones I’ve seen at Paddington GWR have the black rectangular ITSO readers but not the yellow circular oyster readers. Unless the ITSO readers can handle Oyster? There are Oyster TVMs (but not GWR owned) in the Elizabeth line station (and the tube, obviously), though.

According to Wikipedia, Drayton Green doesn't have a TVM.

There are some stand-alone validators just along from the gateline which passengers are encouraged to use.

From recent experience it helps to know when staff are likely to open the gateline to accommodate a passenger surge. That way you can pass through the open gates within a crowd and tap the standalone validator shortly before/after (as appropriate).

Yes it does. Those validators are part of the Thameslink low-level NLC and are therefore connected to the GTR HOPS (Host Operator or Processing System) which handles keyGo processing.
