You can pick your retailer, so pick "TrainSplit".

I can assure you it works there having used it myself.

I used my Morrisons voucher with no issues. I selected Scotrail, but bought a ticket Shrewsbury to Manchester and it worked perfectly.

Just an odd one to flag to people. Bought a load of Uber gift cards on JamDoghnut and added to my Uber account. Booked 11 trains with it but when I tried to book the 12th it said I needed to use a different payment method. I think there is a daily/weekly limit but not sure, I've sent them a message to see if there is.

Just tried using the code at Northern, and no luck. Not really sure what more you can do.

Can only speak for TrainSplit's, but they're not bound to a person at all. Anyone can use any one of them.

My wife has just tried with hers on Northern. Totally accurate, but it won't work. Thanks, but I suspect that we've just been led up some stupid drainpipe. To hell with them. A crap promotion is worse than no promotion at all.

TBF If you complain (I recommend doing it around lunchtime on Saturday so you've sent it in before promotion but they don't get around to fixing it) then Northern may give you one of their "free journeys anywhere on our network" things. Which is potentially a lot better than £10.

I then went to save10ontrains.co.uk and put the code on the email in, picked a journey I was considering and a retailer.

That got me an email with a second code which was retailer specific.

I then went to the retailer but (because of the offer not working with railcards) I ended up booking a different journey (but still on my chosen retailer).

As far as I can see, you need to stick to your selected retailer but not the initial choice of journey.

This is correct. The first step of entering your journey is almost entirely pointless.

I wish I could agree, but that's not what's happened. It didn't matter what journey I put in my code would not work.

Furnished with this knowledge me and my other half went through the process together (with her individual code), chose Northern, and the code didn't work.

Can't be bothered now, especially as there are no railcard discounts. It's just very frustrating.

Just used mine with Transpennine and that works, although have found out their app no longer supports my phone so booked a day trip to Preston through website instead. Northern app still works - I used that to book S&C £1.50 tickets a month or so ago (going on that trip on Monday).

My Morrison's code was deemed invalid when I added it at the start of the booking process as instructed. However, after a bit of trial and error, I found that if I went through the booking without using a promotion code and only added it just before payment it was accepted.
Bit of a faff for a £3.35 saving against a railcard fare and clearly a poorly implemented redemption process.

Not just counterintuitive, but at odds with the specific instruction to use "Add a promo code". That field is the one which doesn't work. The one on the payment screeen which does work is "Add a voucher code".

I used my code last night on Trainsplit, based on the experience of others, putting in the three part code in the promo code box on the payment screen. It worked a treat, got £10 off and with the journeys I’m doing with it I could afford the upgrade to a fully flexible First Class ticket

Thank you for this. It's utterly mad and typical of how difficult it seems to be to do the simplest administrative tasks in the UK.

It works, but sadly I found out after the event for the journey I was going to use it for! Hey ho.

You will see much more proactive publicity from LNR and independent retailers about that sale next week. Retailers were asked not to market it this week given the timing in relation to the events in Bedford (but the fares are still there to avoid passengers being overcharged).

To my knowledge, the only retailer that didn't respect that request was Trip.com/TrainPal.

Down to Euston with LNR from Nuneaton and back with AWC all for £16.60. Great how railcards can be used for this promotion but a shame nothing else really floats my boat anywhere else on their routes, suppose i could always look at other places and book in conjunction.

I collected paper tickets but only the outward was printed so i rang them and they gave me a new code and i now have a pair for the return albeit in the same seat.

Does that apply to journeys such as Hemel Hempstead to Shrewsbury via Birmingham, or to Crewe? I'm struggling to find them, with the forum's ticket site splitting Crewe to Hemel at Euston, and not showing the sale fares if forcing a change at Milton Keynes (looking at an evening single from Crewe to Hemel first).

Unless code HSO prevents it, there isn't anything on the LNR site for a Birmingham to Hemel sale ticket I've found which suggests getting a Crewe to Euston sale ticket and leaving the southern section unused wouldn't be allowed.

You must travel to Liverpool, Birmingham or London for there to be a fare. There is also a zonal system at play, e.g. you cannot go from Tring to London.
