I was unaware that it was compulsory to do this at terminal points. I assumed it was an added option at terminal points.

At least I made my journey terminate at Bargoed and not at Rhymney, which was the station that departed to Barry Docks.

I didn't say it was compulsory, I was simply merely stating that an earlier service was available to save us waiting 45 minutes. That 0819 service also calls at Bargoed.

This being very early on a Sunday, with no other services using that bus stop and having forgotten to bring the "Revitive" product that aids walking (to other bus stops), we next board the 0800 Stagecoach South Coastliner service 700 to Goring by Sea ( the bus stop opposite the Leisure Centre on Shaftesbury Avenue) that arrives there at 0830 on Sunday.

Despite the leisure centre being called Goring-by-Sea, Goring station is a little to the west of the town and we are currently east of the town and actually across the way from Durrington-on-Sea station, so we head there and board the 0901 Southern service 1S12 to Bedhampton, arriving there at 0954 on Sunday.

I cannot seem to locate a Custom House Road anywhere in the Portsea region, but can see a Curzon Howe Road which matches the time of your arrival (1212).

Without seemingly stating the obvious, was this where your intentions were? As the only Custom House Road I can see is in Mobasa Kenya, India or somewhere in the States.
