Will the old ones be going on local servicesStock vehicles for the x46, there's 11 coming in total
West Yorkshire (specifically Cleckheaton) are getting Evoras not E400 MMCs.Assume these are either stock models for york or GWY come to hull to be prepped.
X46/X47What are they for
Have they still got the cycle space, do you know, or has that been dropped from the new order?Stock vehicles for the x46, there's 11 coming in total
If they're dealer stock, they'll not have it so would need to be modified.Have they still got the cycle space, do you know, or has that been dropped from the new order?

There is talk of some of the 92x being cascaded onto the x45Will the old ones be going on local services
Yes, that's what I heard too. Makes sense to get the older stuff off the X45.There is talk of some of the 92x being cascaded onto the x45
It certainly does. There's also rumours of some going to Scarborough for CoasterYes, that's what I heard too. Makes sense to get the older stuff off the X45.
The paint scheme itself is now just a base aswellDoes this signal the winding down of the whole EastRider ‘experience’? The X46/47 has always been the flagship EastRider but is now getting dealer stock buses permanently allocated. Once the Plaxton Centros go, the X45 and Hornsea services will be ran by normal buses, the 41 just uses repainted buses with no interior refurbishment, the 55 always seems to have one EastRider and one normal G2 allocated. The 75/X7 will be the final service to have a full proper EastRider allocation.
* by ‘experience’ I am referencing the refurbished seats, red lighting, interior branding, tables etc.
If the rumours are true, then the X45 will get the current X46/47 vehicles so will still have the EastRider 'experience' like the refurbished seats, tables, etc. The dealer stock E200 MMCs originally allocated to the route (now in West Yorkshire) had nothing EastRider about them apart from the decals.Does this signal the winding down of the whole EastRider ‘experience’? Why? If they're using the current X46/47 vehicles, those already have the EastRider base livery so a change in branding for the route would be needed but not a new livery necessarily.Wonder if they'll do an X45 and have EastRider decals on their White base
Realistically, EY should just have the main branding, North Riding, West Yorkshire (which will be phased out in the coming years anyway with Weaver Network), Coaster and Beachcomber. They'll also have the Green livery for the Electrics. EastRider should only really be maintained if it remains a 'Premium' offering. All the Locals liveries are redundant at this point as they often end up on other sides of the County!Hopefully if they have any common sense they'll just scrap all these brands and have just one name and livery, makes it significantly easier to transfer vehicles where needed for a start without confusing anybody. After all the sight of an East Yorkshire vehicle on a route in West Yorkshire must be confusing for anyone not in the know, I wonder if anyone let those East Yorkshire buses go recently on the 615 or 571 thinking it wasn't there bus? I wonder if anyone on the 84 thought 'not another change of operator' when they saw Scarborough Locals instead of North Riding written on the side, it does happen!
You don't need all this branding as First have demonstrated recently, people just need a clean bus to turn up on time and be quick at getting them to where they want to be, you can have all the vehicle branding you like but if the bus isn't going to meet those targets, it's pointless! I'd rather Go Ahead just concentrated on first of all reliability and cleanliness, then focused on speed (some routes take the mick with all the meandering) and finally turn to vehicle livery.
Totally agree.Realistically, EY should just have the main branding, North Riding, West Yorkshire (which will be phased out in the coming years anyway with Weaver Network), Coaster and Beachcomber.
Is it generic (like the interior of Alexander Dennis stock buses, which is usually blue) or is it a nod to the past? After all the traditional EY livery (pre-National Bus Company) was blue, and the buses usually featured blue inside. It does feel as though the whole East Yorkshire red and cream identity is slowly being eroded. A non-enthusiast friend of mine traveled on one of the new Electroliners yesterday and said inside the bus gave Stagecoach vibes (blue seats and wall accents), although I appreciate that these were probably placed as part of a wider Go-Ahead order and having them all the same spec was a way to reduce cost and delivery times.
This can also be seen with the new blue uniforms and social media branding style.
It is the standard Go-Ahead corporate style and is the same for GNE and in Londonis it a nod to the past? After all the traditional EY livery (pre-National Bus Company) was blue, and the buses usually featured blue inside.
Yesterday evening, I saw one of the new electrics on it's way through the city centre back to the interchange on a 24 from Hornsea! The paint scheme itself is now just a base aswell
Look at such brands as Hornsea locals, Beverley locals, Goole locals, Coaster, all using the EastRider base with no real luxury.
Its becoming a shell of what it first was, not helped by dealer stock and incorrect allocation (by this i mean the 41 using mostly normal colour buses)
And what happened to 141, 43, 24 and 25 being EastRider branded routes?
Edit: I rode the 41 a few Sundays ago and instead of a EvoSeti from 2017, I got a Volvo E400 from 2007
I assume 698, 705 and 348 will be going soon as well due to the age of them20313 currently off-road due to a minor RTC on Wednesday causing offside front damage
Nearly all of the electric deckers are out on the road now - just 20934/5/7/40 to appear.
20901-10 all due to be withdrawn fairly soon.
20940 is on road tracking as spare hull 7, there’s also the missing 20945 somewhere.20313 currently off-road due to a minor RTC on Wednesday causing offside front damage

Is there any idea what happened to 20818, got painted around Christmas and nothing since
Can I ask what complaints you have made? If it is about non-running of services then these routes are ones which are often sacrificed to ensure the running of more profitable routes or to carry out school contract works.Willerby Road, EYMS Hull buses services 51 & 35
Anyone any experiences with these Hull services. Been bad for of 18 months. I have made over 70 complaints and reported over 100 services to the DVSA. I have been in contact with MP Emma Hardy and Mayor Luke Campbell. I have had personal e-mails direct from Mr Fillingham and over 200.00 in fare refunds. Yet still, the services do not improve. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts or similar issues with EYMS Hull Buses.
I'm on the M1 and M3, as usual, and at Beverley another EYMS driver came over to ask our driver if she seen the new buses inside, our driver replied no and the other one said that the insides are like 97 - coach like seats and no tablesEY Enthusiasts reports the following:

As stated upthread, they also don't have bike racks. Also stated upthread, these buses are likely being brought in so quickly to replace the increasingly unreliable E400 MMCs already on the route. The X46 now regularly has Gemini 2s and EvoSetis, both of which do not have tables or bike racks, so these new E400 MMCs are a downgrade in terms of the onboard facilities of the EastRider spec MMCs but are an upgrade in terms of reliability. These stock dealer MMCs will likely be an upgrade over the Gemini 2s and EvoSetis as well.I'm on the M1 and M3, as usual, and at Beverley another EYMS driver came over to ask our driver if she seen the new buses inside, our driver replied no and the other one said that the insides are like 97 - coach like seats and no tables
If thats the case, bit of a downgrade really as tables provide space for a picnic of sorts or the chance to get last minute work done on the long runs to York and back
To be fair, I find the onboard experience of a standard EvoSeti to be very similar to the onboard experience of a standard Gemini 2. So far, I've only found 20816 to stand out in terms of onboard experience.I must be very lucky as I've not had a G2 on the X46 for months now
