Have also heard they picked up 89 but lost 87.
That is my understanding.
On local bus work I think the changes of operator are:
20 M&W to A1
31 SC to Bay
83/87 Bay to SC
84 SC to A1
89 SC to Bay
On school contract work I believe Stagecoach have lost almost all of their contracts that were part of this South Fife tendering exercise, which could mean a significant reduction in the double deck requirement.

SC = Stagecoach
M&W = Moffat & Williamson
Bay = Bay Travel
A1 = A1 Minibus

It would be interesting to put a number of the loss of vehicles, but you’d have to say it’s well past 20. Just depends on which ones have gone.

Oh dear, not again!

Someone seems to have a dodgy calculator given the mass losses in Perth & Kinross in the spring, coupled with the expected losses in West Fife!

Or, Stagecoach (DWS) just aren’t interested in school contracts anymore?

I believe they were instructed (by Group) to adopt a different costing model, which may be behind recent tendering results. Concentrating on commercial work isn’t necessarily a bad move.

A good amount of network was interlinked with the School contracts, ( buses every 15-20mins then one bus taken out at school times) Saying that, it's how most of the fife network was operated.

Central Fife is next year, could we see Aberhill losing thier work? I wonder if we will see the end of all SCH, and NSCH timetables.

We might not see a significant reduction with the decker fleet on the commercial network, especially since there needed for School times and with another New high school opening, its believed there will once again be a reduction in school buses so more kids will be on the commercial routes.

Just to clarify, the majority of the contacts affected here are the ones out of Dunfermline?

Yes; West Fife was retenderd this year starting in August. Central Fife should be Next August.

Looks as if the first of those 3 new 67 plate MMC’s entered service at Dunfermline this week. As a result, 11179 is now at Perth today.

Is anyone aware of which 67 plate it is and if there’s a 4th vehicle due? Presumably the transfer of the 4 19 plates to Perth will see off the final E400’s there.

I believe 10524 might be the final vehicle of the 4, if anyone is aware?
SN16 OML 10524 was last in Ardrossan and supposedly headed for Glasgow for the X19. 10918 SN67 XAK, 10927 SN67 XAV, 10929 SN67 XAX are probably for Dunfermline due to them not being Belted hence why the 19 plates will probably go to Perth, None of the Old Ardrossan ones seem to be tracking if they are in service

10674 SN16 OYW is back in service after the accident it had in Rosyth back in February, Ferrymill Motors put a picture of it on their Facebook of the repair job, Very neat indeed

10524 is still at Arbroath hence why I’ve concluded it is probably the 4th vehicle for Dunfermline.

10674 is tracking as spare machine 99021, so my assumption is 10674’s tracking will be one of the transferred 67 plates. I’m sure that will be rectified shortly.

I drive a lot along Queensferry Road and see many of the Stagecoach vehicles doing the Fife X routes.

The destination boards on a huge proportion of them need attention - so faded as to be unreadable.

Looks very unprofessional especially when the rest of the vehicle is resplendent in fresh paint.

I dare say there are waiting for the new coaches to turn up before wasting money on that, don't ask when that will be they never appear on time.

The destination boards, which is what Resuwen was on about. The company has brought updated destination boards before to improve the fleet.

10524 was pictured on Western service 11 at the start of May and last tracked on same service on 14th May, has it moved East since then?
10931 arrived at Western few days ago and joins 10919 & 10932.

10906, 10920, 10927 & 10929 are listed as at Dunfermline with 10918 unallocated as yet.

Interesting that A1 are having more of a footprint in Dunfermline / West Fife area with service and school routes as of recently and now a few more.

Lot of dead mileage but they'd have incorporated these costs into their tender bid no doubt. Seeing a change in areas served, I am sure they used to service Waid, Bell Baxter and Levenmouth previously.

Same with M&W in Kirkcaldy/Burntisland/Lochgelly the last few years.

Interesting to see from what was previously a Stagecoach monopoly.

Side note I have seen that Glenfarg Community Transport have picked up some form of the former Stagecoach 66, latter Moffat & Williamson 66, which is now a twice daily(weekday) loop from Glenfarg > Strathmiglo > Kinross community campus > Glenfarg, numbered 66. Funny how the route numbers are recycled in time.

When did that service start? Saying that it caused a right stink when old 66 come off with no replacement, well.. there was a Go flex but no one liked it as there was 6 hour gap during the day. It does plug a 2 hour morning gap on 787. If there were really recycling old route numbers it should have been given 40/A, that was the number of that route in 90s.

Last year Stagecoach announced its August 2025 service changes around 15th, so if were lucky we might get the details next week.

I'm not too sure when it started to be honest, just appeared one day. The timetable is on bustimes.org but not the Glenfarg website.

Who operated the go-flexi, M&W?

Was it Stagecoach's 40/40A?
I might be mislead but I seem to remember a 40/40A being a Leven service around 2005-2010? Not sure where it went though.

Camdean will be getting its evening service reinstated: https://www.dunfermlinepress.com/news/26182047.camdean-cllr-announces-number-7-bus-return-evenings/

Camdean: Councillor happy that 7 bus is to return in evening
IN a welcome move the number 7 bus will return to evening service in an area of Rosyth.

Last June, the service, which connects Dunfermline Bus Station to Leven via Dalgety Bay, Aberdour, Burntisland and Kirkcaldy, was changed to cut out Camdean after 6pm.

At the time, Stagecoach said the alteration was due to "changes to school contracts, congestion and ongoing roadworks in the Kingdom", but later added that pavement parking was also an issue due to narrowing roads.

When the decision was due to be made last year, Rosyth councillor Andy Jackson spoke to The Press about his concerns.

He said: "We used to have the number 19, but that’s been cut back over the years. This isn’t going to serve the people of Fife.

“What about people with disabilities or those who don’t drive? They’d have to walk to the main road in Rosyth. The day doesn’t end at 6pm.”

After discussions with the bus company, Cllr Jackson was happy to confirm that the service was set to return from August.

On Facebook he wrote: "I have been informed this morning by Stagecoach that they have started the process of informing Fife Council of their intention to restore the evening bus service through Camdean, Rosyth from August 17.

"I have been leading this campaign since it was withdrawn, and this is a very welcome development.

"The people of Camdean have not had a bus service after 6pm since last August, leaving residents who rely on the service without one.

"Public transport is an essential service for everyone, particularly those who face social isolation.

"My thanks to Stagecoach for reconsidering their position as well as my ward councillor Brian Goodall for his support and the local MSP David Barratt."

Surely if the chargers are ready, then it’s almost at a point where driver familiarisation can start?
Dundee chargers are now live

10918 has entered service out of Blairgowrie in the last couple of days. I’m guessing this one has had seatbelts fitted? Looks as if it’s replaced 27611. Though I note 11661 has been off for almost a month also.

Consequently, it appears that the final two vehicles for Dunfermline will now be 10524 and I think possibly 10919.

Doesn't look like it has belts from pictures unless it's only lap belts, still has the same seat layout as it did in Cumbernauld with the family style seats on the top deck at the back, I know on Tridents when they fitted belts they basically turnd the seats around and had all them facing the front

That’s interesting to note.

15180 made its return after its long absence this morning also.

Does anyone know what is going on with the Pitlochry services? I was on bustimes.org and suddenly 23 journeys cut, 34X ran by dochertys amongst other changes…

There were all changed back in April because of the council contracts.

From Monday, 20 April 2026, there will be changes to several local bus timetables and some routes operated by Stagecoach.

Services affected include 23/23X/27X and 34/34A, as well as 15/15A/615 and 16X, 60 and 862.
Some of these changes are the result of some subsidised bus service journeys and school transport contracts operated on behalf of Perth and Kinross Council transferring to another bus operator. However, Stagecoach have also reviewed the operation of some commercial journeys which aren't subsidised/contracted by the Council, and have taken the decision to remove or amend some journeys which they believe are no longer commercially viable.
Information relating to the changes to local bus services operated by Stagecoach can be found on the Stagecoach website.

Services changing to other operators from 20 April 2026

Services 23/23X and 34/34A (Perth - Dunkeld - Aberfeldy)

Certain Perth and Kinross Council subsidised Monday to Saturday journeys on this route will be operated by Docherty's Midland Coaches. To make it easier for customers to see the options available for travel on this route a combined Services 23/23X and Service 34/34A timetable (PDF, 460 KB) is available. The journeys to be operated by Docherty's Midland Coaches have been highlighted in yellow within that timetable.

SN16 OML 10524 is painted and in service, 10930 SN67 XAY is the latest one to transfer to East Scotland
Makes sense for 10524 to go Blairgowrie as it was already fitted with belts.

Though despite my previous thoughts, I wonder what the intentions are behind having 10524 and 10918 there.

I would assume 10930 will be the final vehicle for Dunfermline, releasing 11176 to Perth.

Mind Blairgowrie & Perth lost most of their school contracts in April, so the requirement for seatbelted vehicles has reduced dramatically
