Would anyone be able to shed some light on LNER cancellations due to a fault with the electricity supply? Was due to be heading to Newcastle but got terminated short at Darlington.
Thanks
Thanks
From national rail "Following a fault with the signalling system caused by damage to the overhead wires between Durham and Darlington, all lines have now reopened." Hope this helps: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service-disruptions/durham-20260604/Would anyone be able to shed some light on LNER cancellations due to a fault with the electricity supply? Yeah, or VSTP sets in from the depot when the issue is fully cleared and lines are empty overnightCould be some issues tomorrow; four LNER southbounds were terminated at (or never left) Newcastle; 1E20, 1E21, 1Y18, 1Y19.
Now 1S26, 1E26 and 1E28 are cancelled as well, despite the trains that form them (1E14, 1S16 and 1S17) arriving only a little late; I wonder if they'll restart at Newcastle in an attempt to balance sets.
And now 1N14, 1N15, 1N33 (3 Newcastle services in a row) as well as 1S31 and 1N86 all cancelled. 1N33 comes off the cancelled 1Y19 but the other two form from Leeds services, so I'm guessing they'll send those sets back to Leeds so too many sets don't end up at Heaton. Not great if you were trying to travel from KX to Northallerton or Durham though...Yeah, or VSTP sets in from the depot when the issue is fully cleared and lines are empty overnight
Thats interesting, thank you. Annoyed my service terminated short as it feels like issues are most days now. From national rail "Following a fault with the signalling system caused by damage to the overhead wires between Durham and Darlington, all lines have now reopened." Presumably also because crew will be Newcastle crew and most likely have not gone to London. 1E20 reached Durham platform 1 and used the cross over at the north end of the station to return to Newcastle under the same head code.Could be some issues tomorrow; four LNER southbounds were terminated at (or never left) Newcastle; 1E20, 1E21, 1Y18, 1Y19.
