I seem to remember that, under original plans with respect to how many services would be 10-car, 31 out of 33 units would need to be in service. Suffice to say that several extra units would have been brilliant, but got to make do with the 33.It is as that would be a brilliant solution, enabling more 10 car trains (as there is a lot of speculation that there are not enough 10 car daigrams to meet demand)
I’ve said before, though, that the 810s are a great train when everything works as it should. Let’s hope that, as each day goes by, fault-free running reaches the required level.
