I asked NCT and it's this week that they are making the announcement, not sure the specific day thoughWhen are we likely to find out what is happening/changing?

The latest they have announced changes is 3 weeks before. But idk also im think about the number of changes surely they will put changes in for September cuz that's when they normally do the larger scale changes. When are we likely to find out what is happening/changing?
All these service changes are happening in June. It's probably good to do them now when services traditionally get quieter over the summer due to reduced commuting (of course there's more leisure to counter that)The latest they have announced changes is 3 weeks before. Perhaps some last minute issues or niggle to get resolved before they announceIf they are going to annouce the route changes this week they are running out of week!
It's missing from the NCTX fleet list - or do they also take them off there if they are out of service but not actually withdrawn?Bustimes suggests that 529 is withdrawn following its crash in February. If so, then it's quite an untimely demise at only four years of age.
What happened to 467 again?I would’ve thought given its age 529 would be worth repairing but it does appear to have disappeared off of NCTs own fleet list which would suggest it has probably been withdrawn.
Maybe its being used to get 467 back on the road
The cost of it probs isn't worthwhile, plus they might put that money towards the electric buses that will replace it anyway.Bustimes suggests that 529 is withdrawn following its crash in February. If so, then it's quite an untimely demise at only four years of age.
Single decker buses have a longer range as they're lighter. And they're more developed so NCT have more confidence. For example the Yutong E12s run on the T1 from Aberystwyth to Carmarthen so they've proved their rangeidk about the 90 cuz of the reasoning they gave for the 26 having ultraliners
Not sure on that one - just know its not been out since late octoberWhat happened to 467 again?
I’d be very surprised if the 4 got new vehicles, given it only runs for part of the year. Also when do u think they will announce which buses will be getting the new buses, of course the 1,4,34,43,78,79 will get one because of there electric plans, idk about the 90 cuz of the reasoning they gave for the 26 having ultraliners
The 4 and 34 are very unlikely to get new buses. The 90 is single deck so the 26 and ultroliners are quite irrelevant I’d have thoughtThe cost of it probs isn't worthwhile, plus they might put that money towards the electric buses that will replace it anyway.

In my opinion for me I doubt the 34 and 4 for reasons already mentioned. I also doubt the number 1 unless they go single decker electric which I don't feel they would do as that in my opinion is in the same situation as the 26. 90 is single deckers so could happen, and for the deckers they are getting I would of thought 78/79 and/or 43 would be at top of the list. The 4 and 34 are very unlikely to get new buses. Possible that the initial yutong dds ordered (13) could go on the 78/79 - 12 branded 1 spare. In my opinion for me I doubt the 34 and 4 for reasons already mentioned. Yeah, 57 was destined to go a-bust (again; originally withdrawn in September 2008) after 12 years… I remember when NCT got rid of its evening services on that route, but I remember using it on the odd occasion when it was first introduced to be a part of Lime Lines 56 and 59 as Lime Line 56/57/59 in 2014.Not shocked about some changes, I felt like some services we pointless like the 16C and 57, but ill glad they are stopping some things but they'll adding new such as no 24 but 45, and frequency decrease like on the 70 and 71 but increase on 17,25 and 27 (sun), will be interesting how they distribute the new all branded buses.
The first part of the document is very interesting, about their position since COVID. One might wonder how other operators are getting on ... Nottingham City was said to have had one of the best recoveries.Details now online

We’re making network-wide changes from Sunday 21st June 2026.www.nctx.co.uk
Possibly not because its not been 6 months yet and they need a clear and positive record to brand the bus, take the 50 (now 45) that took a while to get red line single decker, surplus yuntong will go to the 12, and the 9 and 45 will need more, so i don't know tho.Navy 49, 49A, 49B, 49X
"There are no changes to these services, but we have exciting plans for these routes which we’ll announce in the autumn"
Maybe introduction of the new electric buses with the existing gas buses moving to the Uni 4 replacing the last of the Omnidekkas?
Although with the withdrawal of the 24 and reduction in frequency of the 87/88, they'd have enough spare gas buses after this change to withdraw the Omnidekkas
Also in terms of fleet, they will have surplus Yutongs now, so maybe they will also be used on the Pathfinder 90 replacing the Solos
Passenger numbers slightly fell last year when the fare cap increasedThe first part of the document is very interesting, about their position since COVID. One might wonder how other operators are getting on ... Nottingham City was said to have had one of the best recoveries.
Well, I imagine people saw it as a 50% price increase, even though it was probably less than the original fare . Does make you wonder what will happen when the fare cap endsPassenger numbers slightly fell last year when the fare cap increased
Im sure someone on this thread has said that they might want to keep single digits for routes that go over trent bridge, although it would make things simpler. They probably want to wait a bit like they did with the previous number changeAlso I'm guessing that some renumbering might happen soon, like how the skyblue 45 was withdrawn in September and then in the march the 50 became the 45, im guessing the 56 will become the 57, 48 and 49 may become the 2 and 3, but I don't know. They have a thing about consistent numbering
How many buses will these changes free up do we think? The omnidekkas were meant to go when the ultroliners were introduced but that doesn’t seem to have happened (not yet anyway!)Navy 49, 49A, 49B, 49X
