Pre-Service Lumo movement on the WCML

I was coming back from North Wales today when I saw a Lumo 222 pull in at Crewe.

This was a charter service by Unit 222601 that came from Sterling and left Crewe at approximately 12:57. It wasn’t a public service with it being absent from PIDS and arrived at Euston around 15:15 +- 10 minutes. It carried full Lumo branding and the coaches were powered, although the destination displays only displayed the coach number and the front of the train displayed a Special notice.

I saw it once more at London Euston and took photos inside the cab of the Voyager.

Most likely a media/invited guests pre launch service.

Yes, this is how all the trains from that 'group' were done as built, on the side - class 220/221/222/390.

As others have posted, today was the press launch service with the first passenger service starting on Monday 25th departing Stirling at 0850.

Nice photos. I wonder if the new in cab CCTV screen can be turned off whilst the train is on the move. I'd guess it could potentially be a distraction to the Driver if not.

Judging by the displayed buttons on the side, the CCTV panel is one of the viewable displays. Some of the others seem to be CRCM, FF, Main Front and Main Doors (although it's hard to tell due to the angle I took the photo in). Can anyone help decipher them?

Bodyside cameras (white) and a new CCTV screen in the centre of the driver's desk. DOO dispatch looking likely then.

The screens show all CCTV on all coaches, there is 2 cameras in each saloon area and a camera per vestibule (2 per coach)
It also shows the Forward Facing
There is 4 DCO cameras per coach each looking at the furthest door from where they are.
The DCO images are displayed by default however the driver can select CCTV. There is also a second monitor in the staff galley area in one of the coaches that allows train managers / staff to review the same screen.

The screen only turns on while the unit is “high speed” once it gets below a certain speed (5mph I believe) it will activate the screen and shownDCO images.

It will also display the DCO images for the side of which the doors are released.
Screen turns off as soon as the driver pulls away
