Cheers. Also, by the looks of things... 1J76 is currently unallocated due to only 1 197 allocated 1W24 vice 2, which are booked to work 1J74 and 1J76. Does that mean 67025+HD01 will work 1J76 as far as Crewe this evening?

Thank you @ojb_455850 There were definitely TfW staff on 1W11 this morning watching something.

Hopefully, the problem can be fixed reasonably quickly.

Yes now allocated HD01. The 197s have been poorly behaved today as well with a couple failing in service including a pair at Crewe adding to the mayhem there this morning.

HD04 has ended at Canton with damage to the DVT, if its repaired overnight that will now cover 1W11 diagram tomorrow.

Looks to have been a poor month so far for the early morning Swansea departure being a MkIV. Hope it doesn’t go the way of 1V50 and just cease serving Swansea.

The ECS to Swansea has been running via Barry due to overnight works so the service has been split at Cardiff when thats on. Mk4s arent cleared that way so cant get to Swansea in time.

Given it happens so often I am surprised they havent clear the VOG for MK4's. It would also be useful on Sundays when there is engineering work and we have 2 MK4 service to and from Swansea.

Due to the planned block between Hereford and Shrews over the weekend will there be no MK4's out this weekend?

Rather surprisingly, MKIVs are booked on Manchester - Shrewsbury shuttles on both days. A sensible decision given the shortage of serviceable 197s at the moment which a blockade will only make worse.

While the amended services are still pathed as Mk4s, this won't be the case - for instance, 1V42 this Saturday then forms 1W18, which is booked a 197 during the regular timetable. No first class is being offered for the entirety of this weekend, meaning no sets will be out.

With all due respect, I've seen the amended traincrew diagrams which are a more reliable source than the retailing of 1st class tickets.

1 set will be booked out each day running a Manchester - Shrewsbury shuttle every 3 hours, starting at 0830 from Manchester on Saturday and 0930 on Sunday.

Traincrew diagrams have been amended to keep Shrewsbury drivers off their regular booked Manchester trips where a 67 is being used instead.

That's not to say plans won't change, especially given the recent reliability issues, but as it stands it would appear 1 set will be out each day.

Had a very nice journey on 1V62 last night down to Pontypool, so thank you to the crew for that.

The set lost time going north but still got away in its unofficial xx34 slot (southbounds are booked xx30 but very often leave at xx34 even when the inbound working comes in on time) and was still only 5 late at Pontypool.

Now to see what is on 1W11 on Monday :lol: (and if it is a Mk4 whether it can do better than Tuesday morning's disaster)

Plans have changed and there now wont be any rakes out over the weekend. There had been 1 set planned for each day running out of Crewe as other posters have said but that wont now happen.

All are planned out on Monday with evetything in place this evening.

Thanks for the update.

Bad news for people travelling over the weekend, but I guess that engineering puts people off and then the units will be enough even running as singles.

Better news for me if it means there is a Mk4 set in place for 1W11 on Monday. Got myself a nice 1st advance :lol:

Yes and the even better news is its not HD02 this week as thats at Crewe. Will be one of 01 or 06.

This was HD01 being well behaved leaving Piccadilly as 1V62 on Wednesday. So if its HD01 again then that is good. I do not have anything personally against HD02, it just did not work on Tuesday morning and 1W11 gets very busy.

Whilst I am in favour of the cheap advances, these loadings on what is otherwise a very busy service leaving Piccadilly do raise some questions about the demand for first class.
