Every year we hear reports of failed trains with unbearable conditions being left stranded for hours on end, people taking matters into their own hands etc. Its happened earlier than usual this year with the unseasonably warm conditions.
And every year nothing seems to be done, surely there should be a policy by now that after a certain amount of time, some sort of action is taken, doors opened, people evacuated or whatever.
ECML major disruption | 91107 fails at Knebworth
91107 has failed just outside of Knebworth Station with a loss of power. This happened around 13.38, according to RealTimeTrains. I’ve been told conditions onboard were extremely uncomfortable, as loss of power had caused the aircon so stop working, on a sealed train with no openable windows...
