Probably the only standing-room left, on that short-formed service...
I wonder if play-bubbles float out from a class 121/122 "bubble car"
To be fair to the lass, she has chosen to be in first class. Probably needs the second carriage for her entourage.

Short answer, yes, but again, our paddler has chosen only half the train.

The opposition often can...
OT... I used to play pool* at the excellent (but is likely gone, or ruined) Boleyn Arms, near the old Boleyn Road stadium.
The pub had two entrances and two saloons, conceived for a lively interation between Home and Away**...

* See what I idd there. :)

** West Ham's Home fans vs Away team's fans. Definitely not the Aussie soap Home and Away. That TV saga could never be accused of showing lively interactions...

To be fair there were some interest in home and away over the years.

Both times I went to the Boleyn were West Ham 1-2 Preston.

Sat outside a pub in Otley, I was wishing I could get there by train. Apart from the lack of overhead wires, I was quite impressed.

Now that is what I call a tram-train. We can only assume they added batteries to avoid runing the view of the old cock.

You realise how massive the Cock is once you're inside!
We have all been there. You get in and it is far too big.

It turns out the Old Cock Pub is just a front for a strategic blue diesel reserve. Some of the lumberjacks from the cafe have swapped to railway work. They need to sort out their exhibit labelling, though.

It's clearly unrealistic because no self-respecting late-1940s man, made homeless during WW2, would drink straight from the wine bottle.
Oh - and the Schools "grew" a third driving axle. Darn AI slop.

And this monochrome image is clearly fake, because no-one would drag a steam-hauled train out of a terminus and then push it into the adjacent carriage sidings.
Oh - and there's no brake van in the consist. AI lies, lies!

To be fair, the shunter in the monochrome image has already fallen off the track, so the lack of a brake van is the least of their worries. This way the brake van will not derail.

Great to see @Sun Chariot images back though. Your efforts always have a lot more realism than mine.

I have just tried Gemini music, it did create a rather catchy tune about Deltic haulage. Unfortunately the file was too large to load to the forum.

Oh no! Head-on collision imminent! o_O
I hope it is an optical illusion and the lines actually cross with the right line in the image being higher than the left. My mind has convinced me that there is a bridge.

It is a real mess with the mind image. Excellent work @McRhu

Ah - I must assume that the AI has positioned a diamond crossing just out of view which train-a should just clear in time.

The Nutty Train now arriving on Platform 1. The staff show their excitement after getting tickets for the Odeon.

The passengers seem less convinced. The passengers are thinking, "We want to get back to our house". I didnt yet work out why all the passengers live together, but some of them must do. With all the staff at the Odeon, those same passengers will have to reconnect with the joy of driving in their cars.

Is that inspired by Kit Williams's "Masquerade" by any chance...?

In which case it must be set "close by Ampthill". ;)
I wondered if it was a bit too obscure, but yes; well done. I wonder how many people remember it now? The book was beautifully illustrated. If I had a golden hare to spare it would be yours. (Only gray hairs I'm afraid though.)

I still have my copy of the book; the quality of the artwork in it is amazing when you consider the era it was done in - it would have been entirely hand painted, no CGI or AI around in those days at all.

Reminds me of Kit Williams and his book. My copy has disappeared, unfortunately.
My copy succumbed to several house moves somewhere along the line and disappeared. But yes, a fabulous book, fiendishly difficult puzzle, absorbing treasure hunt and enterer -of- the- national -psyche back in the day.

With credit to antirender.com ("Upload an architectural render. Get back what it'll actually look like on a random Tuesday in November. No sunshine. No happy families. No impossibly green trees. Just cold, honest, depressing reality."),..

I asked Gemini to render Curzon Street, based on the architectural drawings of all-happy and light found on hs2's pages (https://www.hs2.org.uk/building-hs2/stations/birmingham-curzon-street/)...

That’s what it may look like if HS2 was ever abandoned. Perhaps a car park like Snow Hill.
