Exactly, there's only one set left, it it fails or anything like that it would get swapped without question.

Last MK3 will be Wednesday morning. On Thursday the MK5a will run 2H16 from Gerrards with 1H12 covered with units. There were issues getting the locos back to Crewe over the weekend so had to be moved earlier.

What's the logic behind the MK5 running 2H16?
The diagram for 2H16 starts at Oxford on 1Y04 and then goes onto to 1T21 afterwards, whereas the diagram for 1H12 both starts and finishes at Wembley.

From next week that diagram will change to support. Train planning were able to make changes to support Thursday for this week additionally.
1H12 is a very busy service so moving the capacity around.

Are we fully expecting 011 to remain the loco or is there a chance of 012 (which of course came south last week) being swapped in?

I think it's only 011 and 013 still on duty, with 013 currently bolted to the set.

011 was on the set the last time it was in service, has it been swapped again?
No.
Think I saw 013 on the set.

It's showing allocated 68011.

The old mk1 human eye ball must have been seeing things.

And it's goodbye to the Mk3s + 68s (modified for use with).
The final transfer path out on Thursday:

With the locos heading home to Crewe.

Will all of the spares (82302, 82303, 12627) be going on 5D03 tomorrow as well? Or will they be moved at a different time.

I've been told that it's intended to be a complete clearout of the remaining Mk3 vehicles at Wembley,
including the two DVTs.

I reckon they would be perfect for railtours since they have plug doors, modern PRM toilets and (IMO) pretty smart looking interiors.

I was told further upthread that under the surface they are a bit rotten.

Afternoon All,

There was an update on WNXX this week that 68010 - 68015 have been moved from the DRS Gresty Bridge depot to the Coal Sidings compound near Basford Hall.

Does anyone know please if the Coal Sidings compound is visible from anywhere that is publicly accessible? I need 68011 and 68013 for sight, so just trying to understand if a trip to Crewe will allow me to tick them off or if I'll have to wait for them to move in the future.

Thanks!

Thanks for flagging this. Unfortunately I'm abroad at the moment so can't go and see the move, but I've given my dad the heads up and he's off to see it this afternoon as he needs 011 and 013.

Out of interest, does anyone know what they're being moved to Eastleigh for please?

68010/011/012/013/014/015 all moving from Crewe to Eastleigh today on 6Z68:
Surprisingly long routing, Crewe to Eastleigh via the WCML, The Chase line, through the West Midlands and Birmingham New Street, down the lickey and through Cheltenham, across Bristol and Bath, along the GWML to Reading, then down towards Basingstoke and Eastleigh. Presumably off to be repainted by Arriva Traincare.
